RESOLVED: BAK Revolver X4S or X2 Installation

Has anyone installed an X4S or even an X2 on their Ridgeline? I just picked up my truck and was excited to install my X4S and it appears that they may have sent me the wrong kit. The clamps have no where to clamp and the locking device interferes with the back tailgate side. Looking for someone that has either an X2 or X4S that is willing to chat or share pics. Thank you!

I installed the X4s first thing on my 22. What do you want pics of?
Are you willing to chat by phone? I'll PM you my cell and we can talk versus type. I greatly appreciate the help and will PM you now.

when I installed mine, the latch was too far to the rear and couldn't latch and also came into contact with the tailgate. the instructions said to slide the rolled cover so that the weather strip is flush with the side rails. I moved the rolled cover so that the metal frame was flush with the side rails, (near the cab) and everything worked perfect. it looks a little off to have the weather strip against the back window at a slight angle but seems ok. I get a little water in the front and rear corners, but I'm not too concerned about it. one question I have is should one use the thin or thick foam near the cab. I used the thick foam and it seem to hold the cover up a little, would the thin foam be better?

The thick gasket is the correct option. You can also trim the excess gasket that runs across the back window as you can see in my pic.

Hi @securityguy re "The clamps have no where to clamp and the locking device interferes with the back tailgate side" how did you solve for that? Just received my X4S (for 2020 RTL-E) but nothing to clamp to that I can tell. The Bak installation "supplement" online refers to Honda Ridgeline Accessory Rails, but I can't find these for sale from Bak or anywhere else (and frankly a little disappointed that if they're necessary Bak wouldn't include or at least specify they're needed when purchasing the X4S). Appreciate the help!

I am PM'ing you my cell. Call me and I'll walk you through it.

It's not letting me PM you as it says you have limited your profile from viewing. PM me and I'll get you my cell.

Your accessory rails should have been in the box you received if you received the proper part number.

@securityguy or anyone else — can you confirm my x4s should have come with 4 metal rails? I only received 2 metal rails that are for the top of the truck bed - no universal rails to mount on the inside. I’m attaching a photo of the box label.

I emailed Auto Anything since that is where I bought it, but I am well outside their 30 day policy so I am not getting much help on that front. I am going to contact Bak directly as well, but just hoped someone here could confirm I should have received 2 additional rails,..

There should be 2 bed rails and 2 rails that attach to the bed rails. Check the box carefully as the additional 2 rails can be hidden under/inside additional cardboard packaging. For a moment, I thought mine were missing too, but they were hidden. I am confident that if they are indeed missing, BAK will take care of you.
