It's okay, but I would tell them to take off the "appearance protection package" and the "dent protection." That is a high dealer services fee. Some dealers offer no "dealer handling." Good luck with your purchase. That is a nice looking Ridgeline.
They said the dent and appearance package is not an option to remove it . So this is the final price gonna make this deal on Monday morning. I trade in my 2021 Maserati levante S I bought 7 months ago for 86k Only 3500 miles on it . On KBB quote it private sell 75800 ,trade in value is 72k so they offer me 69500

You are definitely making a major move from the Maserati. Thank for sharing the deal, and get us some more photos of that new Ridgeline.

The Maserati is fun to drive but I’m doing some property management work it requires me to have a truck . Do you think this deal is ok? I think I’m paying 2k over msrp because, the dealer fees and the appearance and debt package.

As you're losing $16,500 on your trade, I'd say the $2K over list for the Ridgeline is neither here nor there.

I think I paid 2k over msrp the dent and appearance protection plus dealer fees is BS. and got rip off on my trade in. But I really like the truck is the only black HPD package around my area so I may just buy it on Monday.

Get the Protection Packages and the Wheel Locks removed. You can get the same exact wheel locks for under $50. Then it's not a bad deal considering.

@Yifa, it all depends how much you want to push to get those "protection packages" removed. The dealer might acquiesce to your demands, if they feel you will walk away, but in this climate of high demand and short supply, they will probably won't take it off. Another buyer will show up in a couple of days. At least you get something for your money (dent and paint protection) and it's not just a straight up dealer mark-up.

Have you ever thought of using a broker to sell your Maserati, surely they could get you more than the $3K, you save on taxes?

someone wants to buy it from me for 74k cash but I don’t wanna deal cash, second thought the dealer offer me 69500 with 3k taxes saving is not too bad. I think got ripped off by the protection plan and dealer fee .

Is this a good deal?
I have a similar truck but in white. I'd say that's a fair deal but like others have said those protection packages seem less than ideal. Mine didn't come with the wheel locks, tinting, or any protection packages and my total after taxes, registration, and other misc. fees was right at $52k

The auto nation dealer said is not an option to remove the package so I gotta force to buy their dent protection package plus 899 dealer fees. Too bad there is only one black hpd rlt e ridgeline around my area.

Financially, you should be better off taking his $74K in cash based on your taxable rate.

Yes I will save 3k+ If I private sell. But dealing with 74k cash is a headache for me . Anyway I put the 1k deposit down yesterday, so by Monday morning I will trade it in my Maserati for the ridgeline . I think I could find a lot better deal if I spend more times to shop around. But the black hpd package with rlt e trim is not available within 300 miles around my area.

I would be happy to handle the cash on your behalf :)

I lost a bit trading in my 21 Mazda CX-9 GT for my 22 RL BE. I traded in my 20 Tundra Platinum when I moved back to the city last summer and at the time, the CX-9 seemed like the perfect vehicle for my needs. It didn't take long to want another truck, just didn't need a full size. I paid cash for my CX-9 so I lost 8k or so but I got what I really wanted.
I've been moving into my house this past month and have used the RL a lot for tasks that a crossover wouldn't be able to handle.
Additionally, I will be going to my vacation property in NW Wyoming in a few weeks and will be doing a lot of exterior work on the house. The RL will get a lot of use this summer. I cannot wait to take it on a road as the first 1000 miles have been primarily moving our stuff a couple of miles.
