Okay I have another problem I have a lot of clunking going on in the front end and also some humming or grinding Maybe when I jack the car up off the ground the front wheels have a lot of side to side play almost makes the lug nuts look loose my question is is it a wheel bearing or a tie rod end I feel some clunking on the inside of the tie rod when I move the tire back and forth also but I feel like the humming is probably a bearing I'm not sure it's an 06 Honda Ridgeline with 200 and something thousand miles on it and I don't think they've ever been replaced just don't know if the side to side will play is natural for this truck

Maybe wheel bearing. A tech will know just by looking at it.
Try driving on a quiet street & gently, slowly steer back & forth. A bad wheel bearing will often make more noise in only one direction. Also, with the wheel off the ground it should have equal play grabbing the wheel at 3 & 9 o'clock as it does at 12 & 6.
You should have it looked at, for safety's sake.

I have never taken any of my vehicles to a shop. I'm not going to pay someone to do what I can do myself. I just swapped engines on this truck by myself. First one I've ever done. After that experience I know there is nothing I can't do. Lol. I think I'm just going to replace tie rods & wheel bearings & pray it isn't my steering rack. Since I just had the sub frame out with the engine & tranny off was something I could have done with no trouble unlike now. Fingers crossed I guess.

No vehicles have natural play. Just..meh ill change it later play... and its going to break very soon play. Wheel bearing, lower ball joint, tie rod. Really simple... Jack it up. Push the tire in and out from the bottom/side and see what has any play. If you dont see the lower ball joint moving or the tie rod "ball" end moving. Then it is your wheel bearing, which could be the humming or tire hum.But the driving and turning is good. Wheel bearing is a pain in the ass due to how the knuckle is shaped. Better have a press and a lot of spacers, shims, adapters. And it is a split bearing. So be watchful of the races splitting
