OK.

So I looked at the trim levels on a 2024.
Looks like there is no RTL-E
Just the trail sport or the BE for the higher trim levels.
In 2020 the difference between the RTL-E and the BE were minimal with the BE getting the black trim package on a RTL-E for an additional $450.00

So now it's an RTL and either the trail sport or BE if you want extra features.
So if you want extra stuff it's got to be black?

If you want the extra stuff it has to be the Black Edition. It does not have to be black in color though.

It's a shame they no longer make the RTL-E - had just about all the bells and whistles of the Black Edition / Trailsport without the fanboy graphics. I passed my 2021 Pacific Pewter RTL-E along to a family member that needed a vehicle, but I'd get another one in a heartbeat.
What fanboy graphics are on the Trailsport/BE?

I can take off the tailgate and grill badges, but not the embroidery on the seats.
Everytime I get in the BE I stand there looking at the seats for a couple of minutes thinking to myself, dang that embroidery is prominent and I wish I could remove it.

The honest truth is that I forgot it was there and haven't noticed it but once.

Well, I ended up with a Sky Blue Pearl Trailsport. I really like the color in person, and it really stands out in the sea of black, white, silver and gray cars you see everywhere.

The Trailsport badge (and the chrome HONDA) came off the tailgate easily enough, but removing it from the grill may be impossible. It looks like the badge itself is a separate piece, but the raised mounting pad that it sits on looks like it's part of the same molding as the rest of the grill. I will investigate further, though - thinking I might take the Trailsport badge off and come up with a custom logo that I like better.

The badge is an add-on to the grille per the parts information and there is at least one thread out here about removal by maineman. It's short on details except that he pulled hard on the text plate with pliers. I'm leaving mine, but perhaps some careful cutting of the text side wherever it bridges across the grille would have it sliding off the backside without issue or threat of damage to the grille itself.

So I'd really like to get a Black Edition, and I'd really like it in Diffused Sky Blue Pearl - but Honda does not make that. I was hoping they'd update the available colors for 2025, but they didn't

I'm really not a fan of the whole Trailsport thing, which doesn't seem to add any offroad capability beyond the different tires and supposedly different suspension tuning. It just seems silly to have it badged up like a real trail truck, and have everyone know it just ain't so - but I really like that blue color.

So can anyone confirm that I have the differences between the two correct?

1) different cosmetics inside and out, including different interior lighting color, gray vs. black wheels
2) different tires / suspension tuning
3) heated outboard and ventilated front seats on the Black, just heated front on the Trailsport
4) rear USB ports on the Black
5) better audio on the Black
6) all-season floor mats on the Trailsport
7) Power outlet and LED bed lighting on the Black

Have I missed anything? I'll probably end up with a Black Edition, but I really do like that blue color. Thanks!
I'm in the exact same position. Why limit the colors on the Black Edition?

This will sound goofy, but I had the choice between a 2024 BE and the Trailsport both black. The BE was only 400 more than the TS. Yes i would've liked the front ventilated seats. But in the end I chose the the TS. Why? I just came out from a 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport, which rode like a truck and really had no special options, unlike the TS or the BE. So either way i felt i was getting a heckuva upgrade. Secondly, I liked the more truck like sound and feel from the tires and suspension. The BE seemed much to carlike for my taste. Too smooth, too quiet. Kind of put me to sleep. And finally, there was something about the grille that I didn't care for on the BE, vs the grille design on the TS. Plus I didnt care for the black rims. And oddly enough, the orange trim and badging on the black TS just appealed to me more aesthetically. I know, weird reasons why I bought the TS for a 400 savings. Money wasn't the issue. But regardless, I've been very happy with it.
