Seems like this could offer the height without wider heavy load of a 265 tire. I would love to know/see if anyone has went this route with a lift.
Thanks

I bet they are going to rub!

I went up to 245/70 17 and there is maybe a little more room, but not that much.

Good luck, keep us posted! :act064:

I've got a 255/75/17 with a Fat Bob's lift and had to do some trimming with the mud flaps, wheel well cover and pinch welds. I still rub when I'm turning hard and/or the suspension is flexing. I did the bare minimum trimming. I'm sure I could get it to stop if i really wanted too.

BTW. Does anyone know what the point of the steel re-enforcement brace behind the driver side mud flap is for? And why the passenger side is with out?

Costco wouldn't put 265/65R17's on my truck a couple of days ago after a trial fit of the front-left. I have a lift kit, but the tire was still coming within a 1/4" of the mudflap. 245/75R17's is nearly another 1/2" more radius than that (an inch more radius than stock), so I would expect you to have to trim something.

Can we put any size tires on our RL's as long as they don't rub? Does it not affect the ABS,Odometer, differential or Tranny? If so, does it affect any warranty in those departments?

The limit is at 245/70-R17. Typically this size (the one you are looking at) is at 31.5" overall diameter (depending on the type of Tire and the Manufacturer) and that is 1.0" larger than the 245/70-R17 that is 30.5" and 1.0" larger than OEM. You will experience rubbing on bumps and turns.
