6 Channel Monster RCA cable, what color goes where?

I did search on here but didnt find what I was looking for. Could any of you tell me what would be the correct way to hook these up what colors go where?

Copper lable with white writing
Wite lable with copper writing

White lable with red writing
White lable with blue writing

Red lable with white writing
Blue labe with white writing

So what would be the sub + and -
What would be the front L & R + and -
What would be the rear L & R + and -

Any help would be appreciated.

Front and rear channels don't matter, you have 4 identical cables those should be the full range channels.

white is left ch, blue or red ir right ch. as long as you match one color it should work.

We want to see pics of your install in your other thread, the box you made loaded with the sub

Usually it doesn't matter - as long as each wire is the same type (twist, shield, ga, etc...) and you match each end correctly. I suggest (when wiring - again in general) that you use wire labels on each one on each end. Be careful when you cut wires to length... remember to re-label... :act060:

Sure in some cases the cable for the sub, maybe different because the lower feequencies demand a better cable or shield, therefore I would use the 4 that look the same for the four channels and the extra one for the sub amp.

chances are they are all the same but just for logic I would choose them that way.

Subwoofers don't need a special cable. Cable manufacturers might try to tell you they do, but they don't. No different shielding requirements at all.

I always use red = right. Red jacket, red stripe, red plug, whatever. Just helps me remember.

bLack = left is also easy for me to remember if black is a choice. Otherwise whatever cable is NOT red = left channel for me.

I agree hofffam. Maybe it is just a preference on my part to have a 4 channel cable and a separate dedicated cable even being the same brand and model just for the sub, the way some of those 6 ch cables are made just dont give me confidence by looking at them since they bundle them in one jacket and split them in the last foot or 2. They save room but Id rather pay xtra for a separate cable, even if it is not necessary.

I probably wouldn't use a 6 channel cable for the bulk alone. I have never even used a 4 channel cable. So I agree - I would normally run a separate cable for the sub. It just doesn't need to be any different in quality.

I have used Monster's 306 XLN (6 CH RCA) twicw now and It is pretty awesome. Its just as thick if not a little thinner that running 3 pairs of RCA's

I have no issues with that brand, I use a single similar cable that splits in a 2 ch audio and a composite video that works great, the only issue I had sometimes was that the video cable was directional and it did not work for me until I noticed the label with an arrow pointing the direction. :act060:
