Take the offer and decide whether to keep the RL until the warranty is almost up, or trade it after the repair if you are concerned with long-term reliability. Only paying labor for a replacement trans is about as good of a deal you are likely to get.

Honda made me the same offer when the 6AT in my 2017 Accord V6 Touring died. I got a quote of over $8k and all I had to do was ask the dealer to see if Honda was wiling to goodwill some of the cost. I was a little surprised when they offered me a 70/30% deal. I had the trans replaced but didn't feel confident in the reman unit so I ended up trading the car to a 2022 Accord Hybrid shortly after I got it back.
