Back looking at Ridgline again, like the passport
but miss the box.

Can get 4000 off in stock 2023 now
which is likely 5k cheaper then a 2024.
Other then the newer seats and console
is it worth 5k to get a 2024?

Agree. I traded my 2022 RTLE for a 24 BE because I wanted the center console.

love my 24, love the center console and I love the stereo but I enjoyed the RTLE stereo also.

IMO, the Garmin navigation system in the 23 is superior to the 24 HERE navigation system because the 24 system doesn’t display speed limits. That’s a major dissatisfier, c’mon Honda, you’ve got to fix this. They say the 24 system is faster than the 23 system. If it is, it’s barely noticeable to me.

if I was indifferent about the center console, I’d buy a 2023 RTLE, it’s a fantastic value compared to the 2024 BE.

To me it’s worth it for the ventilated seats and the updated instrument panel/dash/electronics, I’m waiting for my 24 BE which is expected to be at the dealer next week. I saw a 24 BE sonic grey at another dealer today, I’m excited to get it. Yes, you can get a 23, but I say, why buy an iPhone 14 when the 15’s are out? I’m a fan of buying the latest model available.

Just bought a 24 BE Black last night. Not interested in the 23s. I almost went with an F-150 until I looked at the 24 BE. The infotainment system and ventilated seats were the deciding factors. The prior infotainment system was a deal breaker. It was like looking at and using 2012 technology....because it was. The new setup is nice. Other trucks have better systems, but at least the 2024 Ridgeline is in the ballpark. Now if it only had more power. A hybrid with some low end torque would be perfect.

Even with the updates for 24, the Ridgeline is still dated and overdue for redesign. It's not only about what the 24 has over the 23 and discounts but what the RL is missing compared to the other newly redesigned vehicles out now and if that matters to you now and when you trade. I purchased a 23 this week and am still looking at the same dash I did in 2016 with my 17 RTS.

it may come down to how much they give me for the passport.
only bummer is they have pretty much same interior
but i will be going from a sport passport to touring (canada) Ridgeline.
so I will gain cooled seats, better infotainment and leather plus a few other gadgets.
I kinda like the idea of the same drivetrain as i have now it has been flawless.

Some folks wish for a G3 Ridge, but that is the last thing I want. I want a road-tested non-turbo 6 cylinder engine with tranny that has been around a while and a body generation that has had many of the kinks worked out (see the great list zroger provided). I do not want the first year of anything. Also odds are (look at the 2024 loss of RTL-E and emphasis on TrailSport) that Honda instead of playing to the Ridgeline's strengths will stupidly make G3 more Taco like; yecch.

Personally I need to sit the 2024 (any day now locally) before adjudging whether or not the loss of real adjustable armrests (which I like) in exchange for the new fixed console top armrest is acceptable or is a deal breaker for 2024. I have had both types for many miles and far preferred real arm rests.

Another year of G2 evolution, the new instrument panel and folding mirrors make the 2024 BE very desirable to me, but the two-tone seats, reduced exterior color choices and the need to spend another $1k+ to replace the BE wheels are downers. Final cost to get into a 2024 (BE required to get uptrim features) will most likely drive me to 2023 RTL-E.

This is why I like the center console tray in the 2023. (2) teas and (1) energy drink. Fits perfect.

Honda Canada has $3000 off of 2024 models until end of January which makes no sense to me when 2023s are still available on dealer lots. You didn't mention which trim level you were interested in. I traded my 2020 White BE on a 2024 Radiant Red Metallic BE and am waiting for it to arrive soon. At that time only White was available with the features I wanted but supply chain issues limited my choice.
In addition to the console and removal of arm rests, the 2024 added the RRM Black Edition colour, larger faster infotainment (stereo) with wireless car play, new customizable instrument console, USB C charging ports, working wireless charger (all things that are also in my Wife's 2023 CR-V Hybrid Touring). 2024 also has Trailsport version with a colour option only available on TS. 2024 has option to install a Honda oil pan guard on non TS trim, which I ordered with mine. Not sure whether it can be fitted on 20 to 23. 23s have been sitting on dealer lots for little while, and any 24 is likely being pre-ordered and direct to you.
So IMO, if you plan on keeping a 23 for a long time and you don't need most of the newer features, you might be happy with the 23. I tend to switch vehicles every 4 to 5 years and the trade in value has to be considered. In 2028 a 23 would still be considered a 5 year old vehicle, and whatever you save now would cost you then.

If the 24 center console is like my Wife's CR-V, and my previous gen Pilot, it is at the same height as the door arm rest and almost perfect for me. I was always fiddling around with the arm rest on my 20. I mentioned elsewhere, that I seem to raise it up every time I unbuckle and get out and have to readjust it when I get back in. Come to think about it, I do the same thing in my old 2006 CR-V too, and end up leaving it in the upright position.

I just can’t believe they named it Trail Sport and didn’t give it even 1“ lift. I’m keeping my 22 for a long time. I am a big fan of they arm rests. The console shelf is good for so many things. If they do make a 4th gen that keeps the demensions of this one I will buy one after a couple of years but I’m not sure Honda is going to bother with a 4th gen. The new engine in the new Pilot was built for better emissions to make the government happy, not power or fuel economy for the customer so we will see if that platform is as reliable.
My favorite use for the center console…

One thing that I noticed on my previous Pilot and the 2020 BE with roll top style console is that crap/crumbs get in between the slats and is a pain to clean. Also, because the Ridgeline version is relatively small and I tend to fill it with stuff, every now and then it gets caught on something that has shifted and you can't open it without going back and forth a few times. Dealer just notified me that delivery of my 24 is February 1 - 7. Seems like a long time away.

I would like ventilated seats and power folding mirrors. However I opted for a 23 RTLE over a 24 BE. I don't like the black wheels, red seats, and high gloss black trim. Also couldn't beat the discount off MSRP, $1500 rebate, and .9% financing on the 23. I actually like the 23 arm rests. You can adjust them, they move with the seat, don't have to constantly ask my wife to move her arm to open the console, and the lid below makes a nice shelf. The rest of the 24 features are lipstick on a pig in my opinion. They are they same pickup, and I appreciate the value of the 23 RTLE.
