Hey gang,
I called Comptech today and they stated that the numbers posted on the acp site were not provided by them...acp used info off of another honda kit that comptech sells.(probably an accord) The gentleman also stated that Honda currently has their truck and is doing some testing of their own for something else and they are unable to work on the kit until the truck is returned. He said that the kit will not be available this year for sure. Sorry for the bad news.

You are correct Doc, for the most part. Turbos and Supercharges have come a long way. Newer turbos can be had that are auto adjusting, meaning the veins inside move to restrict exhaust flow to minimize lag, and open to allow a larger power curve. All turbos have lag though, and if you are not used to it, can catch you off guard in a turn as it is spooling up!(not fun until you catch on) Superchargers are consistant power, but tend to run out of steam at higher rpm due to effeciency. That said, compressor style chargers like ProCharger, are more efficient and mount like a turbo would, instead of directly to the intake manifold. Their are turbo kits that replace your stock muffler and are quite easy to instal with very little fuss. I am not sure what the brand is, but I have seen them for Dodge and Chevy. I do not know if Summit carries it but I do know that Performence Products does. They don't have a Honda catalog though. One last point. Intakes and Exhaust make a greater difference with theses installs, and are a necessity when you make that kind of change. Remember: air in...air out. The faster you can do that, the more power (in theory) you can make.

Hey SWC, I see that you're fabbing a cai...You can use that aem v2 for the 04 accord v6 as a reference. I have one on mine and it fits perfectly. Why did I not leave it on the truck? It is not tuned specificly for the truck and I want optimum performance, not just and intake. And Doc, The Guy at Comptech said not this year.

Doc, I couldn't agree more. I have quite a few cars...I get that from my dad, and this is the first one that I have had that has a great group of people willing to share info. My 66 Belvedere is a lot of fun, but I am a vehicle man, not a MOPAR or IMPORT or CHEVY or BLAH BLAH BLAH. Having people who just enjoy the vehicles is nice. I have done nothing to my truck. It is primary a work/baby carrier, and secondly a play toy. When my wife gets back from Active Duty and I have the 93 accord around, things will be a little different. I am going to make the 93 a road race car for NASA events and am going to street/strip the Belvedere. The truck will become my "Look honey the baby likes the (insert every mod I can do) on the truck" ride. And the 04 accord will be hers again. A supercharger is a great thing, and the parts that Comptech are building will be based around the SC(intake and exhaust). They also dyno everything and so you will know what you are getting. Too many people sell stuff that has no true info on gains. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. That is why I have always gone with AEM and DC Sports and Nuespeed for Honda items. I and all those who I have worked on/ known agree that sometimes the price is worth the parts. Hope this helps.
