I’d never seriously consider a dash cam until I was run off the road by a lady driving 90+ down the dotted line of I-81 with her flashers on. Then witnessed her trying to squeeze between a Ford F150 and an 18 wheeler. Unbelievably no one was injured! However, if she’d come up on me 30 seconds sooner it would have been me and a different 18 wheeler she was trying to squeeze between. After doing some initial research I’m completely overwhelmed and don’t know what to get. I’d like something small and unobtrusive, a 2 channel because I think rearview footage is needed, I don’t think I want cloud storage however, the ability to access footage on scene may not be a bad thing. I’ll likely have to find someone/somewhere to have it installed as my husband isn’t able to do this sort of work any longer. Any guidance and insight is greatly appreciated.

Tesla uses 4 of its 8 cameras as dashcams, so I'm not running a standalone dashcam in my Model Y, but I have a VIOFO A119 mini 2 in my Miata and have used several VIOFO dashcams in the past that I have been very pleased with. I've probably owned half dozen of them over the years in different vehicles and only had trouble with one of them, but I suspect it was damaged by a faulty micro SD card.
