These have the same part number on the website. One states die cast aluminum, the other doesn’t.
Is the cheaper one made of steel?

I was considering the cheaper ones.
im looking for recommendations for one set over the other.
Thank you

I'm on board with you, I also went for the cast aluminum boards. They don't stand out like a sore thumb, the surface is rough for good grip, and the biggest reason - I got to "test" a set on a Pilot, same style. I was shown the best way to use the boards and found it is far easier to get in and out of the truck, in spite of a junk knee in my case, and a bad hip in my wife's case. She has said if she had to climb in without the running boards she wouldn't ride or drive the truck.

They are about the most expensive boards, but the quality is there. When I step on them it is secure, very little flex. Not steel that will rust, but seriously thick cast aluminum that will hold up. With the splash guards from either Honda or Weathertech, little slush gets thrown up on the rockers of the Ridgeline.

As for lights, not needed by me and none on the cast aluminum boards. Look somewhere else if one wants decorative function.

No, they do not have lighting. One is a heavy duty cast aluminum, the other is extruded aluminum. The cast is a stronger heavier duty running board. If one is going to actually use the running boards I'd recommend the more expensive cast aluminum ones. If it's just for looks go lower priced.

The 100C and 100D are extruded aluminum with a plastic cover. The 100 has three mounting brackets while the other two have only two mounting brackets. The 100 are by far the sturdiest being die cast as opposed to extruded aluminum.

My '24 was purchase with the 100D's with lights. The lights would not last more than a couple of months and were expensive to replace. I changed mine to the 100's within the past week. This is now my third Ridgeline with the 100 Die Cast boards. They are extremely sturdy and easy to keep clean by simply using car washes with underbody/rocker panel flush.
