Donuts in a Ridgeline

We got some snow this evening where I live, and it occurred to me that my kids (7 & 9 years old) have never experienced doing donuts in the snow.
So I loaded up the family and went to the largest nearby parking lot to have some fun.

While I was able to give them a decently exhilarating first-time donut experience, the computer nannies worked hard to stop the fun.
I can use the button on the dash to supposedly turn "VSA" off, but it would repeatedly kick in.

I assume there is no way to have more fun in the snow, without following the drawn out process to fully defeat VSA?

LOL that reminds me of way back in the day when I was a teenager, I had a 10 year old Saab 900 Turbo. I was running around with some friends who were in a pickup truck. It had rained and most of the streets were wet. They pulled into a bowling alley parking lot and called out the window "watch this!" and proceeded to do some donuts. Then he pulls up to me and says I should do some.

"This car is front wheel drive, dude!" I replied.

"DO IT IN REVERSE!!" he called back.

Howdy Bluegrass, I am enjoying the same snow as you over here in Somerset, Ky area. I had my 07 Si out earlier but scurried home when those fat flakes started covering the roads. Other than going through the VSA disable process there is no way to deter it from continuing to re-engage. Unfortunate I know, however the other day I decided to take a day trip to Snow Shoe, WV and took the Ridgeline 6hrs one way for a day trip! Snow was really coming down on that Tuesday morning at 2am and on the back roads of WV I had an experience with the VSA where I felt the vehicle really seem to work with me instead of against me in terms of realigning the vehicle as I went into a spin. in less than 4 seconds the truck was realigned with the roadway and I was back on the trail. So glad to have my RL in that moment, although I felt my insurance rates flash before my eyes. I cannot wait to expend these Firestone LE2's and get some real all seasons on there. I would like to have a second set of BE rims with blizzaks in them but hard to justify in the Somerset/Lexington areas of KY.

Takes me back to my high school and college days.
My buddies and I would take trips up to Perfect North and Paoli Peaks to ski at night. Lift tickets were cheap and there were hardly any other skiers on the slopes.
Leave Lexington around 7pm, ski all night, then head back home at dawn.

I also took a trip to Show Shoe in the middle of winter to ski, but I was in an old Honda Accord, not a Ridgeline.

The downside if by doing that you risk turning into one of those Mustang guys who goes nose on with a light pole.
My 9 year old son is quite cautious and at one point said..."Dad, don't get too cocky or you'll hit one of these light poles"

Meanwhile, my daughter kept telling me to go faster.

The process for the VSA turnoff on a G2

Unlike the G1, pressing the VSA button on the G2 does NOT completely turn off traction control and Vehicle Stability Assist - it simply "turns it down" and will still limit excessive wheel spin, skidding, and spinouts. There is a procedure to completely disable traction control and VSA on the G2:

1. After starting the vehicle, press and hold the brake pedal.
2. Hold the VSA button until the VSA light comes on.
3. Hold the VSA button until the VSA light turns off.
4. Release the brake pedal.
5. Apply the parking brake.
6. Hold the VSA button until the VSA light comes on.
7. Hold the VSA button until the VSA light turns off.
8. Hold the brake pedal while the parking brake is still on.
9. Hold the VSA button until the VSA light comes on.
10. Hold the VSA button until the VSA light lights stays on and the VSA OFF light flashes.

This procedure places the VSA system in "maintenance mode". ABS and AWD will continue to function normally. To exit "maintenance mode", hold the VSA button or shut off the vehicle.

The first thought that comes to my mind is that the Ridgeline is front wheel drive?
