Driving on Sand

I have a 2023 Rtl. I have tried to ask two dealers how to put the truck
into 4wd to drive through sand, especially the loose sand on dune roads to the beach, to no avail. I have put in Sand mode, reduced tire
pressure to 20 lbs and of course got stuck. This was the third time on the beach, first two times were in NC Outer Banks ( although the battery went bad, a bad cell according to dealer, needed a long charge to restart). Does disabling Stability control and sand mode work? I also received instructions from the dealer to disable Stab control by using the parking brake/regular brake and pushing Stab
control button technique. Thoughts?!

Hey @tommarkle, getting stuck in loose sand after you've already aired down and switched to Sand mode is super frustrating. When you got stuck, did it feel like the truck was cutting power, or were the wheels just spinning freely? Adding that detail might help others here pinpoint what's going on.

What type of previous 4WD/Sand experience do you have?

If so....what were you driving in the past in the sand?

Do you realize the truck is not 4WD......but all wheel drive?

Did you get stuck due to poor ground clearance/high centering?

Your answers will help others give guidance.
