I discovered that a pair of Rubbermaid cargo bins fit nicely under the back seats. I think it's Rubbermaid model 3304-40. I bought mine years ago but I see that they're still available on ebay for $25 each with free shipping or Amazon for $33 each with free shipping. Looks like this:

If you don't put anything too tall in the bin, the bin can slide out from the end of the seat without lifting the seat up:

Nice inexpensive solution! It's great when you can you what you already have. I found another cheap way. our local craft brewery has these nice cardboard trays for their cases of canned product. A little black spray paint, and done!.....Now if I can find something to serve as a tray above the dividers in the trunk:unsure:

Both are excellent solutions! I have the Du-Ha tray and I do like it, especially the slots in the removable dividers for long things. But honestly if I had known about the Rubbermaid solution I would have done that instead and saved myself about $140, since I don’t put long things there. AND been able to slide them out without lifting the rear seat. I am thinking that the essentially free (!) cardboard solution may have to be replaced occasionally depending on how much use and exposure to moisture they get - but so what they’re FREE. Great ideas both, that show you don’t need to spend lot to upgrade this truck

That might be perfect for me - thanks much or sharing. I tend to set random tools/other items that I might need under the seat, and it can get a little cluttered. Also the bin would make it easer to reach things - pull it out vs. reaching under there, feeling around, then sometimes needing to lift the seat.

Neater + more convenient....nice!

Do you have one or two under the back seat?
I'm curious if two will fit.

I have two bins, and two will fit side-by-side easily under the seat, but so far I only keep one under the driver's side rear seat. Several times I've needed to fit something large behind the driver's seat, so I just lift the wider seat section up and then push the cargo bin under the narrower passenger side seat. This makes about 2/3 of the entire floor available for big items.

I installed L-Track in the bed and a VanTech ladder rack, so I also wanted some smaller containers to hold the connectors for the L-Track and the stainless 3/8" eyes for the ladder rack slots. While looking for smaller containers, I found that this Plano shotgun shell box almost exactly fits under the seat, too.

It's a lot like the standard plastic Plano ammo can, but shorter. So the "regular size" Plano ammo can might fit perfectly, too. I have a few of those, so I'll have to check. Several ratchet straps and associated shackles and whatnot easily fit in the short Plano shotgun shell box.

I didn't realize that the Plano Shot Shell box is longer than the Plano Field Box. Here are a few boxes I have laying around. Walmart used to carry the Plano Field Box, but now they carry the other two on the left. Farm and Fleet carries both Plano boxes, or Amazon I guess. I think the Plano boxes are higher quality than the others.

All of these boxes fit easily under the back seats, including a standard steel mil-spec M80 ammo can.

But that Plano Shot Shell Box is about the perfect length:

It actually drops right into place and is just snug. It will come out the front or the end without lifting up the seat, too.

I found the Rubber Maids off of Summit Racing for 2 for $30 shipped over night.
I was curious about your post because my order confirmation showed that mine wouldn't ship until late May; However, this morning I got a shipping confirmation showing they would arrive today via Fedex. So, basically the same delivery as yours.

Not sure how they are making money charging only $12 for expedited shipping but I ain't complaining....And I will definitely buy from them again.

Great solution. Is there room in the center for something else, and have you found a different storage solution for that space? Without getting to my vehicle and measuring, I assume it’s some “stubby” width. Ammo can(s)? 5 gallon Lowe’s “commander” bin? tool bag?

Got mine today and they are great for my purposes - mostly groceries now but I am sure they will come in handy for other things.

As you can see from the photo, 2 fit fine with a little room leftover. They fit better turned so that the mesh faces backwards. Look like they were custom fit for the space - there is a cutout for the hook bracket.

Thanks for the posts @Wisconsin_Mike & @CountryCruiser!

I have found that pelican cases do fit under there. I have three under there. I have also found that larger items tend not to move around when tetris’d properly.

Thanks for the great idea! I probably would have eventually figured it out on my own, but it may have taken me a while. I ended up going with these baskets. Four of them fit across perfectly, and I have all weather mats, so I haven't noticed them moving once. I have straps and tie downs on one outer edge, common tools on the other, and the two in the middle have my jumper cables, a portable air compressor, and a spotlight. Very easy to slide in and out (currently can't lift the seats easily due to car seats), but not the best solution for storing longer or heavier items.

I think it really depends on what you want to store and if you want to see it. My 24 Trailsport has a tray OEM Honda. I did not like having to see the stuff and it rolling around on it. I got off Amazon some under seat storage with zipper covers tha fit perfectly and are able to be closed and transferred easily if needed.

I found them at a NAPA store close by. Thanks for the information. I have a third piece from the Husky floor mats that will stop them from sliding back and forth.
