Very interesting product. Would love to hear if anyone has ever installed or used something like this before.

 

Holy cow, the wider one seems like overkill but the narrower option could be interesting. For the most part, I really like my armrests but they could be just a little bit wider/softer. JJ Products Link

 

I have the widest ones, got it used from a pilot owner who got in a wreck. I dunno if my RTL was a bit more forgiving or what, but didn't need a ball joint tool to remove the old armrest, just apply firm outward pressure as you rotate the armrest and it should pop off. The widest one is a bit overkill, and if I were buying new I would get the smaller size. You have to slide the seatbelt fastener under the armrest to buckle, but other than that I haven't had any issues.

 

I had a set of the 6" wide black ones with red stitching.

Sparkland, can I ask why you sent them back ?

 

I had them back when they first came out. But it didn’t work with the seat all the way back and down because they hit the console between the seats. Thought they would be a solution for a larger guy in the truck but had to send them back when they smashed into the back of the console

 

I never had them, but I remember when they came out, some people on this site gave them a negative review and I never saw a positive review, so that says something. I'm sure you could do a search in the forum for the feedback on G2 replacement armrests or whatever the maker's name is on those

 

Too bad Honda has still not stepped up and made an armrest console and foregone the "captain chair armrests" which to me are not practical in the least.

 

I like the arm rests better than using the console. But than again I still can't believe they caved on the superfluous volumn knob.

 

I see. What was your experience removing the old arm rests?
