Has anyone opened the headlight?

I have a 2022 RTL. Obviously disappointed in the non-functioning eyebrow lights.

Has anyone opened these to get access to possibly retrofit something? I know back in they day with my BMW, you could bake the enclosure to soften the sealant and open them.

Thanks!

The option of baking open your headlights and install whatever you want in it still pretty much going on…

The OEM LED swoosh in the upper trims has boards attach to them.

They have 2 setting:
Daytime running -full brightness
headlight mode- they dim down when headlights are on-

wiring is a little more complicated than red wire /black wire.

We retrofitted my buddies projectors in his
2018 Civic Si and his LED swoosh functions the same way.

Btw like stated above- Honda doesn’t list/sell the swoosh LED as an individual part- they sell you the whole housing.

Your best bet is to just buy the upper trim headlights plus the wiring kit …or just embrace your halogens DRL’s choice.

Hello guys,
I am new to Honda Ridgeline. I have a 2021 Honda Ridgeline RTL and needed to replace both headlights. Found both of them on eBay. Once I received it, turns out that one of them is probably from RTL-E or black edition because the eyebrow is lighting up on one but not the other one.

Did you happen to notice a part # or different part #s ?

I would have to apologize for misleading you. If you install headlight from higher trim it will work but not the way it should. DLR eyebrow does not work when lights are “OFF”. It works only with light “ON”
