How long did your Firestone Destination LE2 tires last on your AWD RL?

@Discount Tire can probably answer this better than I can, but I was under the impression that the LE3 was supposed to replace the LE2 a few years ago, yet the LE2 soldiered on as the OE tire on the Ridgeline with no fewer than three variations - retail, OE, and OE with a sidewall tread pattern. I'm not aware of any Ridgelines that came with LE3 tires.

Just spoke with a Firestone rep. The LE 3 Is a stand alone tire in the LE line up and was not intended to be an original equipment offering. As of now, the LE 2 is original equipment for Ridgeline and some Passport models. Hope that helps.

Thanks for clarifying that, @Discount Tire!

I'll say this - I've never had a better tire than the outstanding Michelin LTX M/S tires that came as OE on 2006-2014 Ridgelines. Those tires were nearly universally accepted as the best Ridgeline tire. They were known to dry rot before wearing out. :) That tire was discontinued after the 1G Ridgeline production ended. I'm not sure what the latest replacement for that tire is - it may be the Defender 2.
A lot of folks have had great luck with the LTX M/S. It's a shame it has been discontinued. The Defender 2 is being recommended as the replacement to the LTX at this time.

My 2021 RL Sport has a little over 34,000 and the tires have 5/32" to 6/32" left. I could probably get well into the 40's if I pushed it but it won't be too long before I switch to Michelin CC 2's. My life is worth more than pushing the limits on possible hydroplaning. As soon as I feel the little 'slippage' in the wet the new tires will be called on to restore the safety factor. If the CC2's are anywhere near as quiet on the RL as they are on my Subie I will be well pleased. Probably going to use Discount Tire if they can match or beat Costco's sale price (are you listening Discount Tire?).
We appreciate your consideration when it comes to future tire purchase! Just a friendly reminder...Discount Tire does maintain a Low Price Promise. We will match competitor pricing on all products we sell. We will be happy to assist. I hope you don't mind a DM being sent your way.

@YouHaveJamesWoods The Defender LTX MS has been discontinued. It is being replaced with the Defender LTX M/S 2, but it is only available in certain sizes. No word yet if it will be available in the 245/60R18. Michelins current offering is now in the Defender 2. Hope you don't mind a DM sent your way.
