The idle stop is a nuisance on my new Ridgeline. The first thing I do each time I start the truck is push the button to deactivate the feature. Problem solved. I also have to put on my seatbelt to keep that annoying flashing light and beeping from driving me crazy. I knew I'd have to do both things when I bought it. Maybe this will all change under the EPA of this administration. I don't imagine that I will be trading for a new Ridgeline based on that alone.

But they do on idle stop, which this post was discussing. The seatbelt chime was just an ill fated attempt at humor.
