I was hoping to order one of the first 2025 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport, that's due to hit by mid-year of 2024
providing Honda copied something very close to what Hyundai has onboard for "Lane Changing Assist". Hyundai has a Camera and Sensor in each mirror AND as you hit the turning signal for either side, there's an onboard camera in the dash right in your face. There's also a readout on the forward windshield that shows the odometer, et.
This Safety feature alone would give Seniors and everyone else an edge when it comes to preventing accidents as we proceed to turn into opposing lanes on either side. Having to depend on the small mirrors is useless and the present "Lane changing meter is a small lighted signal that people tend to get benign to as we get comfortable .. There's just too much going on inside and out to not have a video camera view on the dash .
Guess I'll be holding and hoping 2026 is more promising.
Also, I witnessed a preview on YouTube of a 2025 Honda TrailSport that had over-projecting wheel fenders that made this truck appear Super. I've not seen this review again since my first spotting a week ago.
What are your thoughts on the above additions? I understand Honda was the first manufacturer to introduce the Lane changing cameras in the mirrors and on the dash. Why did they discontinue it?
