Pioneer aftermarket radio no sound when car is turned fully on

I need serious help with installing an aftermarket radio I have asked several others that very experienced and this confused them. It is a aftermarket pioneer radio going into a 03 gmv envoy the radio turns on and plays and everything when in the first position on the key when you go to second positions everything stays on but about 10-15 sec the sound stops working if you turn the car all the way on the sound immediately stops working I have no clue why it does this and it is DRIVING ME CRAZY I have ran through the wiring many times it does have a stock amp
I’m wondering if it’s not powering it somehow but it just doesn’t make sense why the sound works then turns off

Hello, and welcome to the RIDGELINE FORUM. We do Honda's here so not sure why you would want this help as a valid user too. I will say that when working with those older vehicles there probably isn't a lot of experienced people who know them any more. Maybe call the vendor in this case I'd say.

Step-1: buy a Ridgeline.

Then you’re done. You wouldn’t even have to try to justify why you’re writing on a Honda forum.

Back in 2000s, I may have made my own test harness to run 12 volts independent of the vehicle and grounding to see if the issue occurs. 2025 buy a Honda or a decent pair of ear buds.
