Sorry to res this old thread but it explains exactly what I’m trying to do. I found all the part numbers for the black window trim…question is does anybody know if this is a reasonable DIY job? I’m no body molding expert.

The cost for the parts is the same as getting it painted. Looking at vinyl wrap and autoflex too, those are not permanent though. I’d rather be set/done with it.
Max, I also have a Radiant Red RTLE and replaced the garnish grill to black and handles to red myself. Thanks to the post MarkinMD put out with all the parts. I attempted to wrap the window trim in black but could not see my 55k truck with a mediocre trim find. So I ordered all of the trim in black from Honda Parts Connection. Com. I believe it’s 6 pieces for around $380 and will have the local dealer install them for a whopping $620. The other alternative was the Honda body shop that would have done all the handles the garnish grill and the window trim for $420. However my service tech said you should have a Honda tech do it so it comes out right as there are too many seals and parts and they warranty their work.
I had purchased in 11/22 a 2022 Radiant Red Sport and traded it 3 months later because my drivers manual seat kept lowering and Honda would not come through. I loved the fact that it was already blacked out. Now I have to spend over 1,400k just to get it to look like a sport or a BE. I had a sonic gray BE that was on hold for me but I had to have a red truck no exceptions. So went with RTLE. So my advice is order the parts and have the dealer install the door trim molding. The hardest part will be the Pilar molding right in front of the mirrors and that alone is a risky diy project.
I will post the pics of the final product along with the replacement of chrome to black whelk lugs. Finally I will do a vinyl spray like a dip it on the step rails to de chrome that dumb chrome strip Honda puts on them.

Hey Inchrisable,
See attached part numbers and prices for the window trim. I purchased at Honda Parts Connection. They will not deliver the entire order if only one part is on b/o. That is good in the sense they won't charge your card till the order ships. I had bad luck with the Rear Window moldings arriving without kinks. I had to call them and ask they package them in a stiff carboard box. They originally shipped in a flex box and were literally crushed. I recommend to call the parts and speak with a live sales person. They are very helpful. Keep calling till you connect, they do get busy but very helpful once you reach them. Let them know you want the moldings well protected.
On the install, you can have your Local Honda Body Shop install them at about $60 an hour which will be around a third of the cost. The dealer charged me $720.00 at a $200hr. I did not want to chance the outsourced Honda body shop in my area. And after spending so much on this truck but saving on installing the door handles and garnish grille myself. I bit the bullet and went with the Dealer.

Also check out the wheelset cap, I removed and painted the logo and installed black lug nuts on the RTLE oem Pewter rims. They looked nice but recently ordered the Black HPD rims and installed fully painted black wheel caps.

Oh, this is incredible! Really appreciate the detailed response and the additional insight. 🙏

I'm with you on trying to save where I can given the investment just to get the truck. Plus, I found myself really enjoying the installs of the parts I've swapped thus far (first time modding a vehicle). But yeah, the trim scares me a bit. Too many horror stories about how easy it is to mess it up.

I reached out to my dealer yesterday to see if they'd be willing to do the work. Despite it seeming like I'm the first to ever request anything like this, they are trying to line everything up for me. The parts list is so helpful though! Even the dealer wasn't sure which parts to order and I haven't heard back from them yet as to whether they ever found the answer. Stoked to be armed with this list now! Seriously, thanks for this!

Love what you did to the wheel badges too – hadn't even considered those yet. Been debating on whether to swap the stock pewter for the stock BE or to just find completely different wheels to switch up the look completely. I never really liked the HPD wheels, but damn they look good on your ride. Did you end up selling your original wheels?
I don't want to sell the Pewter Oem's. I could not find the HPD wheels so decided I would buy a set of Pewter and I found a set for $350 locally. But then I thought, heck I don't like that five spoke look and paying $500 to powder coat them black would only give me the same style with a different color. So gave up on that idea. So kept hunting for the Black HPD's got a little anxious found them on at a local dealer, paid retail and one week later they were online $500 cheaper otd. With that said I would keep my oem's and if I ever sell the truck would swap back and possibly get more than double for the HPD wheels. I searched several sites and wasn't comfortable with after market wheels. I am too anal with steering and afraid that after market wheels would change my riding comfort. Additionally with a set of aftermarkets I would have to buy five, heaven forbid a wheel cracks you would never find an exact replacement

Anywho, here is a site you can check and you can actually see the wheels mounted on your Ridgeline truck, down to the color and model. This was what I would have bought as the offset is identical 45. They guarantee a fit.
