Hi fellow Ridgeliners!
recently my rear driver side window stopped working. My malamute dog is a fan of drive through and he drools quite a lot when we go to Timmies so I was 99% sure the problem was the switch.
First thing I have done is check on the fuses, all the power window fuses looked good, nothing burnt.
Then I went ahead and bought a new switch that I just received today and installed it, unfortunately its not the issue. The window cant be controller from either the master switch or the rear door switch.
I am thinking next, the problem is probably the power window motor.
However I was wondering if the master switch has a problem, the way its wired (circuit) can it make the rear door switch not work?
I thought I should ask before ordering a new motor just in case. Its not exactly cheap and could figure out a way to test it I guess. Also looking at the part numbers, it says rear left and rear right. It's kind of confusing to me, I need the rear driver side. Is that rear left (looking at the truck from behind)?.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
Pat
