I got some feedback from my dealer with regards to my particular "pop" noise. We reproduced it over and over again in the parking lot. Start truck, slowly drive under 10kms per hr - nothing. Once the truck is at 10 or 11 kms/hr - "pop". The techs say they are not 100% sure, and they will check the other Ridgelines on the lot before I bring my truck in for a thorough diagnostic, at no charge regardless of what it is or is not the cause, but they think it may be a power relay for the truck bed audio shutoff over 10 kms.
I'll update after they have it in the shop in a couple of weeks (I told em Im not in a rush).

Hi everyone,
I have been reading along for a while, and joined just now in order to report that my RTL-T that I picked up in late June has this exact same noise, which occurs under the conditions that everyone else is reporting. I will be getting it to be looked at hopefully after thanksgiving, so I will report back with what the dealer has to say. Thanks to everyone posting about this here; this forum has been a great source of info for me!
Thanks!

Mine is a RTS and I have a pop if you press the gas and then lightly hit the brakes. I can feel it under my dead pedal and I can reproduce it on demand. Drive forward hit brakes pop. Sounds like something thumped up under the truck...I can actually feel it. Been living with it cause my dealer isn't close by.

I'm pretty sure the tech checked the bolts on my truck before deciding to replace the strut... But maybe not. If loose bolts is the actual problem, then great - easy fix for people. Kind of disturbing that they would come loose from the factory.

I have developed this slow speed parking lot clunk pop in the right front suspension.

IMO it was self induced when I installed the front leveling kit.

Things I had apart..........

Strut top nuts,
lower strut pinch bolts,
Lower control arm mounts,
sway bar bushings,
sway bar end links,
R/H lower ball joint nut,

I don't have torque values for these items so I've had to deploy more of a career long feel to them.

I have been slowly retorquing every thing until this noise goes away.

SO far I've hit most everything with a torque wrench at some pretty high numbers and have gotten only a little bit of hardware movement. Sometimes that's all it takes.

Tomorrow I will retorque r/h lower ball joint and the not so fun strut top nuts at the leveling spacer. This will require tightening from the fenderwell using a long extension and a crows foot wrench.

Here is some service info for the 2016 Pilot, torque values might be same on some components. Least give you something to start with.

That helps a lot and gives me some ideas and how close I was in my professional guesstimation.

I see a lot of it is use new bolts or nuts but no mention of Torque to Yield or not. I assume no and won't worry about it either way.

Retorqued everything and my issue solved here.

I could definitely see this happening from the factory as well.

All the torques in the link that MtMan posted look to be appropriate and titled properly.

If I had to guess at which one was the culprit in my case it was that I didn't get the upper strut nuts in the strut tower tight enough.

B16-035 Acura Service Bulletin. I'm thinking this could be the G2 problem. I read somewhere that the Ridgeline uses the Acura MDX AWD suspension components. Has taken Acura three years to address this on the MDX (strut internal damage)

I just made an appointment for the noise I captured in this video: https://youtu.be/xBW1_q9nD-4

Does this sound like what y'all are/were hearing?

So I have the same noise coming from the driver side front when backing. Finally I was able to replicate this yesterday. The Mechanic said it is the brake pad catching the rotor. I am not not sure if it is the pad what we will see what they find.
rolling pop in this thread is about the pop sound at 10km/hr after starting the truck.

The technician was able to reproduce the noise mine was making better than I could and told me it's nothing to worry about. When I put my car into reverse, usually pulling out of a parking spot, and then press the brakes then something in the brakes actually moves. When I brake the first time after I get moving forward again, it makes the same sound but slightly softer. It's supposed to happen and the reason it's gotten louder since I bought it is because the temperatures have dropped so the grease just hardened up for the Winter, which also explains why it's so hard to replicate from day to day.

I hope he's right and that this helps anyone else.

Minor update: After the weather's fluctuated a bit more, I can definitely say the cold doesn't necessarily make the ABS pump any louder. I'm still fairly certain that's what it is, as it definitely only happens when I press the brakes that first time, but for whatever reason it's still random enough that it doesn't necessarily make the sound at all, even on the coldest of days.

It's been in the teens and 20s here this week and driven in those temps to include backing out of driveways and such. Silent.

That noise in the video would drive me nuts.
