No point whining. Every company makes products that cause no problems and a few that do. The gearbox in question is made by ZF transmission, right here in South Carolina, USA. They had issues in the early days on both MDX and Pilot, but not everyone had issues. You seem to have drawn the short straw. Many other companies use this same box including Nissan, Jeep, Land Rover etc. So there are probably millions of them in service.

Will wait with interest to read your report from the dealership with "The Final Solution"..
