Got lucky no damage (this was yesterday) around the Lake George/ Wilton area heading south on I87 doing about 70. The lanes were pretty crowded, did not try to change lane but didn't look either. Besides, the bride was screaming "watch," watch," "watch,". I was fixated on that object and besides taking foot off the gas I may have tried to brake a little but knew that would risk a crash and I wasn't going to avoid the object. Still not sure what it was, think it was part of the gate or ramp for the trailer. Didn't feel like much but am grateful I wasn't in my RAV4 Prime with the battery on the bottom. Could have been a lot worse when that thing was airborne. Traffic did slow down behind me.

Installed the speed bleeders and flushed the brake system. Easy job now to bleed the brake system by myself. Here is the post where I found the speed bleeder info.

also used the harbor freight wheel dolly which made the job easier for this old man..suggested by @BlueRidgeBlackEdition . Thanks.

The RL got it's first oil change at 8,100 miles yesterday. I was able to pick between no oil filter and oil filter, and of course I picked oil filter. Why that is in option is beyond me. This is the first time the RL went to the dealer and it wasn't a warranty issue.

Honestly, besides the initial issue I had with the truck, it has been hassle free. Except last night I had to factory reset the infotainment system since it refused to pair with my iPhone. All good now.

Added PRL “High Volume Intake Air Duct” kit and Redline Tuning hood struts. The duct kit got rid of the baffles and gives a more throaty sound upon acceleration. Side benefit is that I can now more easily access both battery terminals directly, although I already installed the remote ground mod. Impressed with the hood strut. Easy install, more open than the normal open position of the hood prop, but mostly don’t have to lift the hood and prop it. It just glides open and easy to close.

This past weekend we took ourselves, our RL and oir poocj to a Postcard Cabin campsite in north central Wisconsin… highly recommend these small cabin/trailers. Each has a queen bed, small cooking area and a flush toilet and shower. Plus a wood burning fire pit/grill and Adirondack chairs.

put in the gear tray from No-Lo, don't need the spare in there because I have a full size spare. freed up a ton of space under the rear bench, no more tent stakes and ratchet straps rattling around in the cab. got a couple bins from U-Line to ensure none of the gear rolled around in the trunk, either.
