What exactly does A6 MM code mean?

I have a 2024 Honda Ridgeline Sport that I purchased around 55 weeks ago. I have been doing oil changes and tire rotations at 5,000 miles instead of waiting for the MM codes to get to 15%. Today I hit 15,000 miles and the code A6 come up (previous codes were all A1 I think).
So I take into dealer for service (because I have 2 years free oil changes and tire rotation) and also request drain and fill of the rear differential fluid as per A6 MM code. The service writer writes up that service but also states that Honda recommends alignment and front transfer case drain and fill at 15,000 mileage as well. I was under the assumption that front transfer case fluid/transmission fluid would be done at the same time under MM code A3 (which I've not seen yet). I know the alignment is probably just a random upsell but is he wrong about front transfer case fluid replacement also being part of A6 service? Is that not under A3 and hence not necessary at this mileage?

I recall a thread that explained the MM in a little more detail. If you don't let the MM get to 5% you won't see ALL the codes. Also resetting the MM without doing the actual maintenance showing in the code then you throw off the MM calculation for future Codes being displayed.
I drive my Hondas hard, with a fair amount of idling, cheap gas and minimum warm up time. I let the MM get to 5% or lower. When I bought my 2023 RL I got the maintenance package. Service advisor has told me that Honda schedule recommends this or that. I ask if it is covered, they say yes it is, so I let them do it. At 15k the said that they checked the alignment and it was ok.

15% is the often stated threshold for the MM. The MM does not know if the services were performed or not. Have not heard anyone say they did the maintenance by resetting the MM, but that would fall into the category of disconnecting the negative battery terminal to "fix" trouble codes and CEL's.

I'm just mostly confused about him telling me that the A6 service also called for front transfer case fluid when the manual clearly states that A6 is rear differential fluid transfer. I figured if both were due at the same time then I'd get code 3 and 6, not just 6. He seemed to imply 6 meant both rear and front and that 3 was transmission fluid (which he said I did not need transmission fluid replacement at this time).

Jcoley 3411,
I don't have the owners manual for your year RL but here's what DuckDuckGo AI said (for what it's worth);

Search Assist

The A6 maintenance minder code for a 2024 Honda Ridgeline indicates that it's time for an oil change and filter replacement, as well as a drain and fill of the rear differential fluid. This code typically appears when the vehicle has reached a certain mileage or maintenance threshold.

IMHO, check your owners manual for the code(s) and stick with what ever the MM states... :-/
