I am curious if there are a set of instructions or any advice on the proper way of removing the chrome window trim pieces so as not to damage the retaining clips and ultimately the trim pieces themselves. This looks like a fun learning project for my daughter and as we try vinyl wrapping these pieces.

Plastidip and lens tint spray. About 20 bucks and a couple hours taking the front grill and rear bumper apart, spraying and putting it back together.

I know this thread is about wrapping; any reason not to just pain those parts? is it so you can remove it later?

Looks great! What did you take apart on the rear bumper? I just plastidipped mine last weekend after a "professional" royally screwed up a vinyl job on my truck, and I did it with the chrome strips in place because I couldn't get them off.

I have the front chrome off my truck now waiting to be sprayed next.

You have to take the rear bumper cover off so you can pop the chrome trim and the reflectors out. I think I followed a PDF I found for the rear backup sensor install to remove it.

I wrapped my rear bumper chrome pieces in place, don't really see a need to go through all the hassle to remove anything.

Had the grill, window trim, and bumper trim wrapped in satin black. Love the look

Joined the club. I used 3M Gloss black and will be removing and trying matte black. But even the gloss looks better to me than the chrome

On your silver (or a lighter color) I wouldn't mind it as much. Just don't like the contrast with the darker colors

Hey fellas,

Next Saturday, I'm having my guy wrap my front grill and rear bumper slits that are black chrome on my BE. I'm also having him wrap the reflectors on my rear bumper with 5% lens film because they stick out like sore thumbs.

My question is, I'm trying to decide between satin black and gloss black for the front grill so can you guys please post pics of your wrapped grills showing gloss vs satin? Just trying to get ideas.

Have another tiny little surprise being wrapped as well. 😉 Will post pics once it's complete.

That looks great! I just bought a 2020 rtl. I noticed the lights on in one of the pics. You postedThe LED running light over the headlights are on. Is yours an rtle? I spoke with the sales rep and looked on the forum but can't find a definitive answer. I have seen a lot of posts with added led light kits etc. Did you wrap the black?
