I'm interested in installing Magnefine filters in the return lines of the power steering and transmission. Would someone who has done this please post the ideal location for installation? Pictures would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can't help but wonder if this is a 'solution' looking for a 'problem', given the number of very high mileage G1's here with no mention of issues relating to tranny or PS particulate damage IIRC.

Personally, every cut-and-clamp in a pressurized-fluid hose system represents an unwelcome risk-point (for leakage or traumatic fluid-loss) in my mind.

YMMV

I just installed one. Check out this post. Regular fluid changes are great, but metal particles can still cause wear between intervals, and the OEM filter is practically inaccessible unless you're rebuilding the transmission. The benefits far outweigh the slightly increased risk of leaks due to two more hose clamps, IMO. I saved an Accord transmission from interment a few years ago by adding one of these and doing a detergent flush. The fluid was already getting changed regularly, but after a quarter-million miles, that OEM filter had to be choking on metal dust.
