Visors for both the driver and passenger are both extremely stiff to lower and raise.

Both sun visors, driver and passenger, are extremely stiff to both turn down and up. I can see the mount in the headliner flexing at I rotate the visors down or up. I can only find one screw. I can't see the screw, just feel it on the windshield side of the vertical arm that attaches to (through) the headliner. But, since that screw is on the vertical section and not the horizontal that appears to be the rotation point for the visors I have not tried to loosen it yet.

Any advice appreciated. These visors adjust so stiffly I'm afraid they will eventually break.

It’s a safety issue, if it’s still under Warranty — I’d consider taking it to a dealer for a repair.

I waited too long on one of my Tacoma’s and it ended-up costing me $225 for a new one.

I found the answer searching for sun visors. Apparently this is a pretty common flaw with the visors and lubrication does little to nothing to help the very stiff resistance to movement and droop when supposedly in the full up position. I have a 2019 RTL-E model with 84K miles. I ended up ordering new visors for both sides from hondaautomotiveparts.com. There is a trick to removal and installation, a plastic tab you have to press in from the backside (stupid design). Search YT for Ridgeline sun visor replacement. New ones work smooth as silk. Wonder how long that will last...

You'll love this: . On my 2019 RTL-T model I have used the Drivers side Sun Visor a lot since new. Mine has gotten VERY stiff to fold up and down in the last year. It now requires 2 hands to 'operate'. Yet it slides back and forth on the metal bar effortlessly! lol All else on it looks brand new. Was thinking of spraying the bar with dry silicone powder or something but it looks majorly sealed... Can't even find the screws that attach the assembly to the roof! lol Sounds like buying a new one is in order. I'd be OK with a hundred bucks if I could find the silly screws! :) Thanks for your info!

Thanks so much! After reading the guide posted before this I thought I was crazy. After reading IT a few times I understood what to do. Your great video actually SHOWS the hole to put the screwdriver into. .......Mine has NO hole! Looks exactly the same but NO HOLE! :O lolol Obviously another 'improvement' added to MY 2019 model! Well. At least the silly thing still works. I guess for now Two Hands it is! Thanks again folks for your help. Most appreciated :)

Happy Days! :)
Today when I went for a drive I said: "Why don't you run your finger all the way around the 'cap'? Maybe the 'hole' is all the way in back." Lo and behold - I Found it! :D It was 3/4ths the way around to the back. Plenty of access but you can't see it. :) I have just the screw driver..... Will dig in tomorrow. Stay tuned

Went down to my dealer today to price a new driver's side sun visor. About what you guys said. $120. However they said they are 'not available' right now. That Honda is having 'some problems' getting certain parts..... Shortages, Supply Chain 'situation'....etc.
So I will continue to use it with two hands to swing it down and back up. Slides back and forth like new however. Huh??? I can't visualize what it looks like inside to make it act this way. Would seem like some Dri-Slide in the right place would solve it at least for awhile. lol Amazing.

Absolutely LOVE the machine otherwise. 2019 RTL-T AWD. just under 50,000 miles.
My daily driver (20 mi) as well as 1000 mile vacations each fall with 1 motorcycle in the back. Regular Oil changes @ 5K. Did the trans & transfer cases etc. at 35K. Drive it the way it was meant to be. Live in temperate climate.(No Snow - N. Calif.). What a smoothie! :)
