Has anyone else noticed the plastic cover underneath the glove box on the passenger to be loose fitting, barely secured. I am still trying to get the pics off my phone, (got a new IPhone-normally an Android guy).

When I push up on the cover (shield) in the middle it just flops up and down. I attempted to align the two tabs on the bottom into their appropriate slots, but still very lose.

It is called the Cover Passenger Lower #77325-TG7-A00ZA

Evidently I am missing two clips #28 that attach to two posts (tabs) #16 in diagram. Such shoddy workmanship.

I don't have a "lamp unit" either #1 in the diagram, but that might be because I only have a RTL-T model. Does anyone with a T have light in their glove box or shining on the passenger foot well. The part that is loose is the lower portion of the plastic piece near the firewall. The second picture is the misalignment of the trim pieces to the left lower side of the glove box.

I guess my G2 is the only vehicle experiencing this malformity.

Mines ok. Most quality control issues like this one are usually in very few samples. Just pull it off and reseat it. Check the grommets and mountings. Unless the plastic is broken from installation I seriously doubt anything else is going on.

Guess I will just add this problem to the list when I get my first oil change--the clips are missing completely. The only thing on the end of the fitting that holds the clip is a cloth type material--probably used when originally packaged.

Mine was loose too! Only the bottom portion was loose, by the way.

If you grade the center of it, peal it upward and look closely for two rectangle slots made of black plastic. The trim piece has two studs(?) (image below stolen from above post) that line up with those rectangle anchor slots. Lift it up about an inch and pull it toward you another inch and lift it into those slots.

I'm not a small person but I was able to lean down to see these, yoga may be an optional prerequisite for some.

Its natural recoil will push it in as you ease up on your grip.

Mine is secure now.

Hey folks, new R2 owner here. Is anyone esle annoyed by the plastic interior blower cover under their glove box. Mine is loose like some velcro woulda been a smarter idea than the Nothing that is holding it in place. Any thoughts ? TIA

Afternoon, all. This afternoon, I go out to my truck, only to find that the floor panel (under the dash) in the passenger side front seat is hanging down. No reason why. It wasn’t hit, kicked, or groves over a particularly large bump.
looking at it, it seems that on the front most part there are two peg-like protrusions facing the engine, and there seem to be holes they fit into, but not very tightly.
Anyone know how this panel stays in its proper place? Or why it fell?

thanks in advance!

Mine was secure prior to the last service. I jump in and noice that it’s hanging on the floor. I think not a big deal it probably just clips in. Well yeah it sort of does. Two threads above this give a good description of what it takes to get it to clip in properly. Thank you!

Definitely takes some finesse to get in there right.

Is the trim piece that runs from the bottom of the glovebox to the floor fairly loose? The top of the piece seems to be fine but the bottom doesn’t seem to be anchored much. I have a ‘21 RTL. Is yours the same way or should mine be anchored better? I have circled the piece in question.

Those two tabs (#16) on either side push into holders (#28) Yours may be missing or not pushed in securely.

Noticed the same issue on my 21 while doing other work in that area. Figured it was just cheaply made. Going to take a closer look this weekend if time permits!
