Loved my old 2013 Ridgeline. Driving it vs a smaller vehicle likely saved my life. Was rear ended on an icy bridge, pushed over the median into on coming traffic and then T-Boned by a Ford F150 doing 70 kph. The dog and i both walked away with only minor injuries. The truck was written off. I am going to miss it

Glad you're both ok. Looks like you're in the market for a new or slightly new RL.

Is keeping it an option? You can part it out an make a small fortune...rear inner trunk $3k, rear trunk door $1k, and seats, etc. $$$. Something to consider.

Insurance company settled a cash price to surrender it that was fair. Yeah, if you are in the Calgary area go find it at the wreckers, it has new front rotors and brakes! I intended to keep that truck forever. Going to miss it and finding a used 1st generation one in excellent shape is proving near impossible.

Glad you and the doggo are ok. That must have happened a while ago as all the snow is gone from Calgary streets after this long warm spell we have had. If you don't mind me asking, how much did insurance give you for your Ridgeline.

Do you have any extra parts you might want to sell?

Happened mid December on the icy Cushing bridge. Rather not say what I got for it, but it was a fair settlement. Surrended the truck and I believe it went to a wreckers yard. If you can find it, it has brand new front rotors and brakes, amongst a lot of other parts that would be salvagable.

Wow. The Ridgeline looks like it did a good job protecting the occupants. Glad everyone was OK.

Glad to hear you're both okay! I lost my '07 when a guy rear-ended me at 60+ when I was stopped. Pretty much swore I'd only get RLs after walking away from that one, they definitely have some seriously good safety features.

You know how they say that time seems to slow down in an accident. After being rear ended, I must have blacked out momentarily and woke up on the other side of the median facing the bridge side. Thought... this is not good. Looked to the right and saw the F150..... tick..... tick...... BOOM. Apologies to anyone in the area that day that had to deal with the backed up traffic for a few hours. It is not lost on me that the Ridgeline likely saved our lives and that we walked away (ok... the dog ran away) with minor injuries. My physiotherapist said he has seen people in lesser accidents with way more severe injuries. Bottom line is we eventually found the dog 22 hours later with no injuries at all, and I walked away with minor injuries. The only casualty we had to say good bye to was the truck. Going to miss her.
