I occasionally snag my left pant leg on the foot parking brake when getting into the Ridgeline. I’m thinking this is because I rarely apply the parking brake and it stands higher when not applied and I always wear stiff canvas work pants. This might be avoided by applying the parking brake when parked so it would be lower when entering the Ridgeline.

I’ve found that I rarely apply a foot operated parking brake but always applied the hand operated parking brake in my Miata and Element.
Me too with the hand brake - especially effective when you're moving and turn the wheel hard :).

Me too. Have gotten my pant leg hung up several times. Hopefully it doesn't happen if i ever have to get out quickly. Just a bad location for it. Don't recall that ever happening in any other vehicle I've owned or driven.....and that is a lot!!

I am 6 foot 2 inches and does not bother me at all. My brother is 6 feet 4 inches and he hates it. I have always used my parking brake as mentioned earlier in this thread because the rear emergency brake discs will freeze up it you don't use them. Sometimes in yonder days if you didn't use the emergency brake and the vehicle rolled a little it could be hard to , get out of gear, turn steering wheel.

That modification will greatly reduce the leverage you have to fully apply the brake.
This was my first thought. The hydraulic brakes on my 2020 are not impressive, and the parking brake is too weak to hold the vehicle on some driveways, especially from rolling backwards. I've always used the parking brake before putting the vehicle in park, to keep the load off the transmission's parking pawl/pin, but can't get enough braking force to do that with my RL. Reducing leverage on the pedal would make it even worse.

The parking brake pedal location was one of the first things I noticed after taking delivery. I worried that I would get uncomfortable on s long drive, but I must have adapted. No problem on the one day-long trip I took. But you definitely cannot stretch that leg out, and there is not much room sideways, because of the brake pedal. Consider moving the seat back a little to give your knee a different angle for awhile.
It seems like cutting the PB lever and welding the foot pad back on should not create a functional problem, other than possible loss of leverage. Good luck, and like others, I’d like to see how it works out.
