Well, we now at least know what to expect in the 2024 Ridgeline Trailsport after Honda's announcement...NOT MUCH. What a disappointment. No increase in ride height, next to no skid plate protection, minimal (and disappointing) upgrade in looks department, blah, blah, blah. I have been sitting w/ $50K in bank, anxious to hand it over to my local Honda dealer but now that isn't going to happen. I am turning my attention to the new Toyota Tacoma variants, hoping beyond hope that the suspension upgrades, along with sound deadening, etc. will result in a modestly offroad worthy vehicle that also offers a reasonable on-road ride. If Toyota fails like Honda just has, I will keep my fingers crossed re the whispered mid-size RAM and, if that falls flat on its face, will be back to purchasing a full size RAM.

Shame on you, Honda. My 2008 Ridgeline w/ 175K miles will probably be the last Honda I own...at least I will have VERY fond memories.

Having owned two Ridgelines in the past 2008/2017 and now a Ram 1500 4x4, I now looking at another Ridgeline in 2024 or 2025. The present Ram is a wonderful vehicle and will have a hard time getting rid of it for another Ridgeline. Since I'm an older low mileage driver I will be buying just for the fun of it and in no way for everyday use as this is not my only vehicle. My biggest problem with the Ridgeline and Ram is they both in 2024 are not going to have much of a body change, thus this gives the feeling of not really getting a new vehicle, just another copy of what's already out there today. There are not too many other vehicles I would consider buying at this time, maybe a Toyota Tundra, or the Tacoma, but Toyota's inventory levels and not really much discounts be given, if any, will hold me back on then at time. I'm not an EV person, but might consider a Hybrid, but still the standard gas engine is for me at this time.

The big difference in the current Ram will be large discounts off MSRP, since they are piling up on dealer lots. One of the slowest selling vehicles on the market today, along with most every other Stellantis product.

I agree, impulse buying because an owner just wants something different keeps the car industry in business - the number of customers that walk in and HAVE to purchase something because their rattle trap completely broke down is in the single to low-double digit percentages. As a dealer I would see it more in Norfolk years ago when some poor Navy wife's (husband out to see) family car finally crapped the bed for good. Much rarer now.

Could probably produce content saying the next one will be powered by hamster wheels and people will believe it.
Ask AI (ChatGPT) and one shall receive! LOL
