So I changed a bunch of fluids last week (coolant, brake, power steering, transfer case and trans... VTM-4 is next).
It was my first trans fluid change at 33K miles. No issues but I did a 3x drain and refill with Z1 (had a case of it already).
Manual says approx 3.5 quarts for each drain. I checked level prior to starting following Honda procedure for checking and it was right on the upper mark,
I have a habit of capturing and measuring trans fluid as it takes the guesswork out of the refill.
I drove 10 miles, removed dipstick and fill plug. Drained into a clean catch pan and measured teh quantity. Exactly 4 quarts each time. Very convenient for me.
Just curious if anyone else measured the trans drain and what they got. Mine was hot with the fill plug off and I let it drain each time until it was a slow drip (about 20 or 25 minute each time).
