I'm sure this has been asked a ton, but I need to get my tailgate figured out. At this point, my tailgate has to stay down, because the clips that hold the rods inside the tailgate cover have all either broken, or are barely holding. Is there any way to just buy the clips? Everywhere I look, you have to buy the rod that goes with the specific clip. If that's the case, I may as well buy a used tailgate.

Get the ones that you feel like are broken and check out Napa, Autozone or an autoparts distributor.

I was thinking about doing the same as my latch is becoming increasingly harder to get to open. Those clips are flexing pretty hard. Idk what the previous owner to me did with it but I had to bend some rods back to get them to work properly. I couldnt open the side latch for about 3 months until I made time to look at the assembly.
