I purchased a new 2023 Ridgeline in August and at 25 miles, 900 miles and now just 2000 miles - I had to have the condensor coil replaced because of tiny pin holes.

I have found that Honda had this same issues with the A/C condenser on Ciivic's 2016-2018. Service Bulletin 19-091
Stating the condenser was not manufactured to specification. And extending warranty.

Is anyone else having to replace their A/C condenser because of tiny holes developing?

Considering placing this Honda in the CA Lemon Law.

Appreciate all responses.

You had the condenser replaced three times in 2,000 miles because of pinholes?

I don't believe that.

Facts are facts my friend...its currently at Dublin Honda in Dublin CA waiting on the 4th!!!! A/C condenser .
The regional Honda rep is going to meet with me to discuss the issue and

I am quite certain they are faulty parts just like the issue with the condensers in service bulletin 19-091.

This is just a guess...I would imagine the two are unrelated.

Lemon law for a condenser replaced under warranty? Go for it. Let's is know how it turns out!
That is what the Lemon Law is for .............4 A/C condensers in 2000 miles!!!

If there was a bad batch of these, I would think we'd be seeing more reports of this on Ridgeline forums and groups and/or Honda would open an internal investigation (that's something that often happens long before a TSB, recall, or warranty extension). I haven't seen any of that so far.

Did the dealer prove that the refrigerant was leaking from the A/C condenser by using a leak detection method? Is it possible the refrigerant is leaking somewhere else and the condenser is being blamed inappropriately?

Definitely qualifies in my opinion…
You have taken the vehicle in for repair by the manufacturer or its agents:
Four or more times for the same problem and it still is not fixed,
or

Two or more times for the same problem, if that problem is big enough to cause death or serious injury, and it still is not fixed,
or
The vehicle has been out of service for repair for more than 30 days (the 30 days do not need to be in a row).

I would be calling and discussing with whoever you choose, at that time you should probably end the discussion on this thread. ;)

Welcome to the club @GCC!

A picture is worth a thousand words…

Can you post photos of your service records for at least the first three replacements?

Can you post photos of the pin-holes?

I’m not saying that I don’t believe, but you can’t stop me from thinking it and I don’t think I believe you — but photos might make me think otherwise.

Thank you….
