Clearly, its not the Pilot front end by looking at the DRL's and the article says it's not the trailsport so it looks like it's going to be a small change to the existing setup. I think Honda nailed the Pilot front end took out all the bulbousness and leaned it out. I didn't realize that the new driveline was even a possibility so soon if the article is correct.

If Honda is half as green as they say they are, they will want this engine to replace the current V6 in the Passport, Ridgeline and Odyssey ASAP.

I just wish they'd offer a version of the Accord with it... i think it would be a sales success, though it will knock down their CAFE a bit.

The 2024 MDX is still using the SOHC J35Y5. This means Honda will be building the old V6 for another model year vs sunsetting the SOHC design this year. I think it means the RL, PP and Ody will also use the old V6 for the 2024 MY. Maybe the ZF9 will get replaced by the 10 speed?

I have a 2018 Accord Touring with the 2.0 Liter turbo engine, and have over 85,000 miles on it. No issues and maintenance is comparable to the RL. Given this engine's excellent low end torque profile, I think it would be an excellent candidate for a truck.

the article linked to is dated March 2023. I've been looking for newer news on the 2024; although there are more recent offerings, they still don't reveal much:

I traded my 2017 for a 2023 BE last October and like it much more than the 2017. You may think your 2017 is the same truck, but their are many additions and refinement’s. Definitely worth it to me.

All three of the vehicles at my house (13 RDX, 18 MDX, & 22 RL) all have the V6 and have been wonderful and essentially bullet-proof, and I know one day in the probably not-too-distant future I will be looking back and missing them when they are no longer available from Honda/Acura. That old saying: "There's no replacement for displacement." comes to mind...

Time for Honda to show what they have with Ridgeline. All the other midsized pickup truck manufacturers already have shown.
If they are coming with same long in the tooth technology. I can't see me purchasing Ridgeline. Honda wouldn't loose me as customer because I'd going shopping for 2023 Pilot Elite. But much rather have redesign Ridgeline with like features.
So for truck purpose still have the 2007 Ridgeline. But Pilot doesn't have lockable in-bed trunk. It doesn't have 60/40 fold up rear seat.
The flat-floor storage.

I’ll need to keep an eye out for the mules coming out of the R&D facility down the road. Tuesday is their favored day between 12 and 2:30. There are usually a good 15-20 vehicles with covering up it for a spin. If lucky you catch them at the local mini mart down the road or out on US33. Lately it has been lots of Acura and Honda SUV’s and sedans. No RL yet

looks like another 4 weeks maybe before we hear anything official.

My local dealer called me today, said this months APEx order did not have any 2024 Ridgelines on it. Told me to keep my fingers crossed for July.

Actually, if the 2024 is identical to the 2023... I will still get one. I like the 2023 I test drove; checked off all the boxes I was looking for; just too late in this model year for me to purchase.

Nobody knows for sure but indication is that it will be very little change with same drivetrain. Interior very similar to original 17 model but they may opt to raise the screen above the dash line like other new models.

It seems like another year of the same.
Hopefully 2025 will be the year of excitement for Ridgelines with new platform and hybrid hybrid hybrids 😂
