I know I saw mention of a "303 cleaner" or polish or something on more than 1 thread a while back, but can't find it now. Can someone tell me again what it is and where to find it,please?
And, what do you use to clean your bug shield?
Thanks!:)

It's called 303 Protectant. You can buy it right from their website. If you live in a large enough town to have either a marine store or a trailer/camping supply store, you can probably get it there too. In fact, the website has a guide to where to buy locally.

I haven't used anything special for cleaning the bug shield so far, just part of the car wash. I recently saw a tip that said you could spray it with Pam and that would help keep the bugs from sticking or at least make them wipe right off. That might be worth a try.

You're welcome. I just did all the vinyl interior with 303 over the weekend. It sure makes it shine and look good. It works really well on the rubber mats if you have them. After washing them they always looked scuffed, dull and discolored in places. After a good wipe with the 303 they look like new again. Just be aware after using the 303 they are very slippery. Take care when stepping in on them.

I used the 303 on all the black parts on the exterior too: running boards (again, slippery for a couple of days), mud flaps, bed rails, etc. I followed that up with treating the leather and washing all the dog bedding on our doggie deck.

BIGGUY got wild and used the Mother's clay bar too. We had a bunch of tree resin drops to deal with on the hood and top of the cab. It took some work, but we got them up. He's a devotee of clay now. I was a convert last fall when I used it the first time.

Our truck was pampered this weekend.

is there only one type of cleaner to use or must get both? I thought 303 is only cleaner/protectant in one bottle. For cost efficient, i was thinking of getting the larger gallon size container of 303. If there is two cleaner and Protectant, i guess i may have to just buy bottle for bottle.

kanji, you only need to get one unless you want one of their other products.

303 has more than one cleaner, for fabric, CDs, patio furniture, etc. What we're using on the vinyl is the 303 Aerospace Protectant. I haven't used the other products but I remember a favorable report from farmguy saying the fabric protector on his carpets saved the day when a milk carton leaked.

The clay bar I referred to is made by Mother's and is part of a wax regime for your exterior.
