Dealer in central Illinois (capital) has been offering, since July 1st and now into August, all new in-stock Hondas (not just Ridgelines) at dealer invoice AND they will pay sales tax. State sales tax for Illinois residents is 6.25%, and depending on where you live, there may be local/municipal tax. I'm not in the market so I have not had contact with them, but on the surface this sounds to be a very good deal.
They aren't a huge dealership. As of right now they have four RTL AWD's and four Sport AWD's. They typically have between seven and 10 Ridgelines and a wider range of trimlines.

2018 RTL-E
Certified Pre-Owned with 33,000 miles
$30,000

Took the dealership making a string of major mistakes with my sale for management to step in and demand this sales price. So I feel I got a great deal in the end.
That's a great deal. If I found a deal like that near my area, I would be sitting in an RTL-E right now!

This guy gets the award for "I want to keep my RL as nice as possible for when I sell it."

Sticker on the window was $34,999. Like I said it took a string of major screw ups for the regional VP/GM to come down on the dealership and make them sell it to me at this price. Pretty stressful purchase process but worth it in the end given the outcome.

Just a reminder:

Fees paid to others such as tax, title, license, registration, etc. should not be included.

However, doc fees should be included since that money stays at the dealer and is part of the purchase price.

Doc fees differ per dealer and some people can negotiate out of them or get them reduced. Vehicle + destination charges are pretty much universal.

That's exactly why they should be included in the purchase price.

$35,500 with no doc fee from dealer A is exactly the same price as $35,000 + $500 doc fee from dealer B.

TT&L can't be negotiated - those are government fees. The doc fee never leaves the dealer.

The destination fee itself is non-negotiable nor is there any profit on it for the dealer - it's a charge that is passed directly from the manufacturer to the dealer with no markup.

If a dealer waives a $1,000 destination fee, then that's simply $1,000 less profit they're making on that sale.

That makes sense; I'll adjust my previous posting. However I understood the destination charges (shipping cost the dealer gets charged by the manufacturer) as being the fees that were imposed into the dealers not the documentation fee. The documentation fee is dealer-imposed and flexible from what I've experienced in the past.

I’m getting quotes thanks to you all and this thread. I’m in Sacramento and I’ve got a bid from a local dealer of a ‘19 Ridgeline Sport FWD for $27,317 including destination. That’s pretty good, yeah?
Also, have looked at RTL prices coming in at $30,500.

Help me out if that’s good. I’ve done loads of research and eyes are tired.

As some of us prepare to enter negotiations with dealers, it would be really helpful to share some key information here to help others:

Trim Level (RT, RTS, Sport, RTL, RTL-T, RTL-E, Black Edition)
Exterior Color
City (County) and State of Purchase
Final Price Before Tax and Trade-in
Trade-in Involved (yes/no)

Reason to ask if there is a trade-in involved is that makes it really hard to determine the actual price paid for the new vehicle. Getting some sense of whether people are paying MSRP, above, or below, especially where no trade-in is involved, will help others in their negotiations.

I just paid $34,500 for a perfect 2018 black edition, 14,000 miles.
It has had ceramic coating treatment in /out, lighted running boards and bed cover.
Private deal, i paid cash.
It is a good buy and a beautiful truck.?
