I’ve really enjoyed my 2007 RTX that I picked up from a used lot a little over a month ago for $11,000.
It’s the perfect truck for my family. It currently has 99700 miles
Took it to the local dealer today for air bag recal work and had them do a full inspection to see if there was anything other than the typical suggested 100,000 mile maintenance that needed to be done.
They look it over and send me about $7,000 worth of repairs that need to be done...
My big question is this: should I go ahead and get it fixed knowing that it should run well for a long while after repairs or should I off load it at a dealer as a trade in?
From the service report:
2 broken engine mounts ———————— $392 & $640
Replace both rear struts due to leaks —— $871
Replace valve cover gasket ——————— $790
Replace crank case rear main seal ———— $1480
Oil leak between transfer case and
Transmission, replace seals ——————— $495
Total ——————————————————— $4668
Again this does not include the regular
Maintenance services that I was planning
On doing myself like the timing belt, tensioner,
Fluid changes, etc
Thanks in advance for yalls insight and advice!
