Finally got around to doing the bed, it was heavily scratched and worn grey from previous owner and I have been trying to decide which brand of liner to go with. Well here it is, Duplicolor Spray on Bed Armor, application was a piece of cake, it sprays on like thick plastidip more of a spatter than spray but it looks great!!! I wanted something that wasn't like painting over gravel and the texture on the duplicolor is AWESOME something like grill paint mixed with plastidip, it is non-skid but soft to the touch and matches the side plastic rail texture almost perfectly. It has been about an hour since painting so can't say much for durability...yet. It has 3 light-ish layers now and I may add a 4th heavy layer to level deep scratches near the back.
Total cost was just under $50 for tape, paper, paint, wax and grease remover, and scuff pad. Total time was about 3.5 hours working pretty slowly, ~45min for mask and prep, rest spent watching paint dry.:act035:
First pic is of bed masked off and prepped for painting, then final shot of the finished bed (you can see thick spots from wet paint but it self levels and leaves a perfect finish)
If you use duplicolor don't listen to the directions to shake every 1 min of use, do this about every 15-30 sec for a more consistent spray pattern, take your time and it will look professional!!
