So, when driving on a sweeping turn in either direction my 2025 Trailsport does this thing when it sees a car in the opposing lane that poses no danger but the angle must be just right. It flashes a yellow warning on the gauge cluster, beeps like crazy and shakes the steering wheel thinking that i am seconds from a collision. It also does it with yellow road signs on a curve.
Is there a way to disable this?
it only lasts a second, but it happens often enough to be annoying.

You don't say what year/trim you have... but... That entire section of the manual (around page 429) is a good read. It will explain why and how it works. I would peruse through it.

First try your distance sensitivity...

Then if all else fails, disable it, but it will come back on, on the next startup.

Yep. Just found it! Thanks.
So now both the idle stop/start button and this one have to be pushed every time you start the car.

Welcome to the new millennium and every vehicle. That of course is if the "SHORT" setting for the CMBS didn't resolve the issue you are having. You can, of course, get an idlestopper. Maybe the SHORT setting works, and an idleStopper works. You’d be golden.

FWIW my 2018 RL does it as well. It's rare though, usually when there's curve on a particular road I travel.

Perhaps this system needs to be recalibrated at the dealership?
Nope, that's what the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) does... warning shake and then if getting too close to a collision it will brake. My brother told me my nephew "tested" his and it actually stopped before collision.

Once I knew how it felt I left it alone, I think there's a way to disable it, but I figure it's one "nanny" I'll leave on. I have a corner I approach in town that will activate it briefly if a car in the other lane of a right hand turn (for me) is picked up. It also happens on occasion when I drive around a car turning right at some intersections, if the rear of the car is picked up. So I know why it activates if it does and I allow a bit more room on passing turning cars at intersections now. I adapted because I figure it could make a difference if conditions presented are dire.

Everybody's different - mine does this on occasion as well (the "BRAKE" indicator on a turn). I'd rather have that random annoyance, then kick myself after turning it off and getting into a collision that might have been avoided.
