Dog hair and the factory option rear seat cover

We're thinking about springing for the OEM seat covers (part #08P32-T6Z-110). We'd only be using the seat cushion part, not the back pieces. I know they are a pain to install but we'd likely never, ever remove them unless damaged so we like the difficult to remove aspect.

But, the terms "neoprene" and "wet suit like" are a concern because our experience is that it is hard to simply clean dog hair off of neoprene. I searched here and elsewhere and one Amazon review says it is easy to clean the dog hair. Our rare rear passenger(s) would appreciate that.

Any first hand experience, here? Does dog hair come off of the covers easily? Any tricks?

Thanks!

I have a yellow lab that sheds like crazy. I keep the reat seats up and lay a movers blanket down on the floor - does a decent job off collecting hair. It is also easy for accidents because I can just pull it out and throw in back until wash time. He is rambunctious so I also use a separator between the front seats that forms a wall from back to front. Otherwise he will try to stand with his front legs on the center console. When done, I wash everything as needed and blow out the truck with a leaf blower.

I have a crazy hair explosion of a border collie... who's mostly white and I have a black interior. I actually have a pop up dog tent in the back which I make her ride in on the floor. Keeps the hair and her under better control. Getting the hair out of the floor fabric is the worst. As for getting hair off of things, I find one of those rubber brushes and a vacuum work wonders!

I've had the Honda rear covers in a CRV, Ridgeline, Passport, and Accord. I've used Coverking CR grade neoprene in the front of a CRV, Passport and, Accord. The CR grade Neoprene (aftermarket used in the fronts) does trap some hair that doesn't vacuum away easily. In the rear it simply vacuums off 99% of the time. The Honda covers wear well or should I say don't wear at all and the hair doesn't seem to get stuck in the fabric like it can on the CR grade neoprene. The supplier of fur is our chocolate lab, Cadbury who has had plenty of opportunity to shed for over 14 years now. I just sold my Accord today and removed the seat covers that were on there for a little over 7 years and there is no wear but some fur did get behind the seat. I highly recommend them, too bad Honda doesn't make them for the front. I guess it comes down to how fine your fur generator's fur is and if it can make its way through the stitching.
