Driver's side mirror vibrates causing blurry reflection

So I've had my 2021 RTL for a few weeks now and I have noticed the left mirror vibrates at highway speeds (60+), enough to make objects quite blurry. Best I can tell the housing itself isnt moving, just the mirror. The right side seems pretty solid. Such a minor issue but also rather annoying. Anyone have this issue or know a simple solution. I hate to take it back to the dealership for such a minor issue but it's brand new... Maybe something just needs tightening ??
UPDATE: I took this problem to the dealership and they replaced both mirrors. Said it was a problem with the adhesive and warmer weather will only make it worse. I have had no issues after replacement..going on 1 year.

I removed my mirror glass in my '19 last year and upon reassembly I didnt fully seat the clips. This held the mirror on, but it was just as you described while driving. There are 8 clips in a 2-3 inch ring in the center of the glass, that hold it to the motor. Could be worth a try to push firmly in the centerish of the mirror with about 4 fingers and see if the glass clicks into place. 2nd picture is a clip not fully seated around the motor and just kind of hanging on by tension.

Thank you for the tip. I pushed on the center of the mirror as you suggested and although I didnt hear a distinct CLICK, I mashed a second time and I did move the mirror. Maybe it was loose because it did not seem to be shaking nearly as much on the interstate this evening...Hopefully that fixed it.

Use painters tape and tape the mirror glass to the housing to isolate if it’s the mirror glass or entire mirror assembly vibrating. If it’s the assembly vibrating, you can pop off the trim that holds the blind spot indicator to gain access to the mounting hardware but remember the rule, “if you break it, you bought it”. After isolating the problem, have the dealer fix it.

Pilot owners are also experiencing this problem.

What is underlying issue creating the vibrations causing the mirrors to blur?

Bill
He didn’t specify but assume it has to do with the housing that the mirror sits in. They pressed on the mirrors like I did and no vibration again but assume it will return in a week or so like last time. Will ply this game until the replacement parts come in.

What I was making reference to is what is creating the vibration that is being transferred to the mirrors?

Bill
Just normal vibrations from driving combined with wind pressure will cause mirror glass vibration if the mirror glass or mirror housing isn’t firmly attached to the vehicle.

I noticed the drivers side mirror on my 2021 is having the same issue as mentioned in this thread. I am with @tunahonda, not sure the dealer will make it any better. Is this only happening on the reverse tilting mirrors? I noticed from the signatures of the posters that most of them have the RTL or above.

GOOD QUESTION....MINE ARE REVERSE-TILT (which I personally see no benefit from) I figured out by accident that if you put the toggle switch in the middle it turns off this feature... left position - left mirror tilts... right position - right mirror tilts... I have an appt with the dealership to look at my mirrors tomorrow... Whenever they get fixed/replaced I intend to leave the tilt feature turned OFF.

If Honda has not changed the design of the mirror, why would a replacement perform any differently? Hoping the dealer will fix the problem, but I am cautiously optimistic.

Better get this done in the summer, then.

RTLs and above have heated mirrors, not sure any Sports with unheated mirrors have reported the issue. Most likely a manufacturing defect as this has not been an issue in previous model years. This may end up being a safety recall as we will probably start seeing reports of the mirror glass falling off the vehicle. Pilot, PP and Ody owners are also reporting this problem.

I just got 2021 Pilot EX-L less then a month ago and the first thing I noticed when I took it to highway the reflection in driver side mirror were very fuzzy comparing to my previous car because of vibration. I immediately looked at passages' side and it was ok. I put a finger on the mirror why driving and vibration stopped. It's driving me nuts. I'm glad I found this forum. It looks like wide spread issue. This is definitely a safety issue. I pushed the mirror as other suggested and it fixed the problem for some time, but it came back. We should all report it to dealer so Honda get enough complains to issue a recall.

I have a 2020 CRV Hybrid and noticed this issue with the driver side mirror vibrating at highway speeds during our first road trip agree that it is a bothersome distraction and can be a safety issue, especially at night with headlights from different cars blurring together. I have searched for the issue before but haven't found other CRV owners with it yet (maybe they don't drive fast enough =p), but the issue is exactly as you all describe. I'll definitely be raising this issue with the dealership and reference this thread for back up. Thanks!

I have a 2020 CRV bought in Jan, 2021. I have the same issue with my driver side mirror vibrating on idle, driving at any speed, and on bumpy roads. It's noticeable, and the images do get a little fuzzy. I took it in to the dealers and they gave bs excuses that it was normal. I feet left out with supposedly having warranty by Honda right now. I took it to two different dealers and they still wouldn't want to replace my driver side mirror. I am just waiting for it to get worse to prove my point and have a manager examine it instead of the advisors/techs before 3 years/36k is up. They also added micro reflective scratches onto my mirror by cleaning it after messing with it, with a microfiber cloth (dry). Unless, you are sure that you can get it replaced do so or else dealers will make it worse by fiddling with your mirror. I also have driver seatbelt fraying on some parts of the driver seatbelt (really bad quality nowadays with Honda).... that is lifetime warranty if you ask. I will use it until it gets too much fraying and I will bring it in. I also have other minor issues. I came from owning Toyotas. This isn't the best experience for me right now with Honda. I regret owning a Honda as I am writing this and spending time finding forums to rant. Sorry in advance! These cars aren't cheap, I expect some quality assurance.

Same here, should have never bought during this Covid mess. My driver side mirror is the same. You can try putt some contact cement on it. I’m waiting for a new mirror. No eta due to supply chain. Same thin happened to exterior trim molding. Glue came loose. Infotainment screen went black had to replace. 2500 miles. So much for Honda reliability.
