Ordered 2 door checkers from Hondapartsnow. I admit I ordered the wrong part number. I asked for return authorization. They told me they needed a picture of the parts, the packaging, and the label. I had to remove the stoppers from the bubble wrap packaging in order to take the pictures. They they refused return because the package was opened. I called and asked them to reconsider. They refused. I will never deal with them again.

Cancel the charge with your CC company. It's easy! End of story. Tom
An important part of winning your dispute - the vendor gets a chance to contest it - is being able to show that you worked with the vendor in good faith and gave them a fair chance to make things right. In this case, they said they would refund within 7 business days so I'd give them the 7 days before starting the cc dispute.

I recently ordered from HondaPartsNow and had a poor experience.

I ordered in-stock parts on July 22nd and just received them today.
I called them about a week after I placed the order to check the status of the order. The tracking number they provided was for USPS and the USPS website showed that the package label had been printed but USPS had not received the package.
That's an old shipper's trick. When I used to sell a lot on Amazon there was an Amazon Sellers forum and it was often discussed how some people would do this to buy time for various reasons. It's possible the shipper failed to scan it in but I'd bet 95% of the time the tracking is correct - the shipper is waiting to receive the package.

You have that in writing? Wow.

I ordered a part from hondapartsnow.com 16 days ago . . . . . they took my order and charged my credit card $380.71 for the part and promptly created a FedEx shipping label. Problem is that is all they did was print the label. . . . they did not ship anything.
After seven days the FedEx shipment did not arrive I did a trace with FedEx only to find out the following.
Estimated delivery date:
Pending

The delivery date may be updated when FedEx receives the package.
LABEL CREATED
Shipment information sent to FedEx

In other words, FedEx is telling me that a label was created but the package was not given to FedEx

When I contacted hondapartsnow.com all they would do is give me the runaround and refused to cancel my order and continue to lie and pretend to do a trace of the package.
THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF ALL OF THEIR LIES IS TO TRY TO BUY TIME SO THAT WHEN THEY RECEIVE THE BACKORDER OF THE PART THEY CAN SEND IT AND NOT LOSE THE SALE.
IF THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN UP FRONT WITH ME IN THE FIRST PLACE AND TELL ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE ITEM THEY MIGHT HAVE HAD ME AS A CUSTOMER IN THE FUTURE. I HAVE PURCHASED FROM THEM MANY TIMES BEFORE . . . NEVER AGAIN !!!!
I am now stuck waiting who knows how long for my order, can not order from another vendor.

I had a similar experience. Placed one order through them and it showed up as expected. The second one I paid $50 extra for overnight shipping becasue I needed it fast. it. took. 6. weeks. Then they would not honor any sort of refund becasue it was outside of their fine print return policy.

This is how hondapartsnow.com continues to respond - knowing full well they never shipped !!!

We apologize for any inconveniences that you have been experiencing with your order.

A package trace has already been filed with the courier, and we are currently waiting for the investigation to conclude. If the shipping courier confirms that the package was lost, then we will issue you a refund on your order.

However, it is not uncommon for the package to still make delivery, so we must wait to hear back from the courier before issuing a refund. If the tracking number does not show any new updates within 7 business days, we can have a refund issued for you asap.

If your original order is found after we issue a refund, you can return the unused order at no charge. Please notify us so we can email you a prepaid shipping label to cover the cost of the return shipment

UNHAPPY CUSTOMER WARNING

I ordered through Hondapartnsnow.com 2x. The first order showed up as expected. The second one I paid $50 extra for overnight shipping because I needed it fast. it. took. 6. WEEKS. Then they would not honor any sort of refund because it was outside of their fine print return policy. I filed an RMA within 2 days of receiving it and spend a couple hours pursuing a refund before an upper level manage final said they would not do anything to refund the unopeded product or the overnight shipping fee.

Ordered on January 1st 2023, received on Feb 22nd. BEWARE.

I could not of written the same exact thing has just happened to me and I am receiving the exact same thing you received… Ordered a part on June 13, showed that a shipping label was made… Provided an estimated delivery date as of June 15, today is June 20 and no part has been delivered and no one seems to know where the part is… I received the same email stating that it’s under investigation and if it within seven days I will get a refund… I don’t want a refund I want my part. My sunroof is stuck open in the part that I ordered will close my sunroof, I am not able to drive my car due to rain in the Ohio area I had to take a day off work today since it was pouring down rain, I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau And I am going to have my attorney. Look at this and a legal standpoint to see if there is anything I can do to get a full refund and my part.

Decided to replace the crappy driver’s seat cushion that is already worn out after 30,000 miles. Whie I’m ordering it from Honda Parts Now, decided to order a spare tire bolt and plate..like 12 bucks . Got an email today that the seat cushion is on back order, with no timeline for re-stock. I checked other online parts store and NONE even list those seat cushions. Chatting with HPN, the agent admitted that their online ordering catalogue , is only a catalogue, not inventory..so you can order and pay for something and combine for shipping , with no idea whether they actually have the part. They were gonna charge me 34 dollars shipping. I told them to cancel. Wasted a week waiting for parts, that never come and would have paid at least double to cost of the bolt just to have it shipped alone. Guess I’ll go to,the stealership….
Which btw, told me last month that my seat wouldn’t be covered under the CPO extended “bumper to bumper“ warranty because that warranty isn’t really a complete match of the original factory warranty..contrary to what the dealer told me when I bought it.

Anyone know if the RTL seat cushion will fit the Sport, for 2020? They have different suffix numbers but neither have heaters.

The dealer is correct about the seat cushion not being covered by the CPO warranty. The shortage of replacement parts is becoming the norm with Honda, and I assume many other auto manufacturers. I agree, it is frustrating when companies advertise the parts on their website, when they don't actually have the parts. All of the online retailers pull their parts from the same inventory, and it will be rare when one has the part when others don't unless they happen to have left over inventory.

The front seats on the Ridgeline are not the most robust in the industry.

Unfortunately all online Honda parts sites are like that. They will happily accept your order for an item that is on intergalactic backorder, only to cancel it shortly after receiving the order. Really dumb, but it's not an HPN-exclusive issue...

I recall someone reported that their RL has/had been waiting at a body shop for the better part of a year because of one small part that is on infinite backorder. All new parts production goes to new inventory.

Not my experience. As I pointed out, ALL of the other online parts houses do not even list those cushions on their sites.
#Sparkland, The covid crises has been over for more than a year, so I don’t buy the supply chain excuses. I have no probel getting Toyota parts.

Which specific part number are we talking about here? The cushion or the cover?

...actually it doesn't matter, they are both listed on plenty of Honda parts sites. All will happily accept the order and then at some point cancel it if it's back-ordered.

Are those OEM Toyota parts, or parts from Rock Auto, Napa, Advance Auto, etc?

Honda Parts Now sucks! I've had numerous issues with them. Trying to get your money back is next to impossible if there is any issue. I always use Discount Honda & Acura Auto Parts | All Discount Parts Store now. They are a dealer in Colorado. You can call and actually talk to someone. Honda Parts Now appears to be just the Rock Auto of Honda. All they are is an order taker and any dealer can pick up and fulfill the order. They suck.

I've never seen an online Honda parts seller with "live" inventory. Bernardi has been good in the past for getting someone on the phone but they no longer price match Someone had mentioned that Balise took over Majestic and I used them about a month ago and they were a good operation. If there is any doubt about availability pick up the phone and call.

Rock Auto is in Wisconsin (Rock Honda is in Fontana)... I think hondapartsnow is a little parts pusher that operates through a ton of website domains for various car makers (Nissan, Toyota..etc)... their reviews and ratings are quite mixed.

I was really surprised that Fisher Honda came up with the best shipped price for the running boards, as they are actually fairly high on the asking price for their Honda automobiles. Thank you for the comprehensive list again, @Nervey.

OP, last year I went through the same issue as you: Same 2020 model year truck. I placed an order for a 2020 leather seat cover and they cancelled my order and said it would be months for delivery. I dug into it deeper and found that the 2021 leather seat cover had a different part number but it was in stock. I ordered it and it was identical to the 2020 that was in my truck from the factory. I also ordered the 2021 cushion at the same time and it too was the same.

So, suggest you try other models (RTL-E for example) and years (2019, 2021, 2022) to see if the part numbers might be different. The cushion is probably the same for all models and years (2019-current) but the part numbers might be different. The part number you are looking for may be superseded or discontinued (despite what the online dealer is telling you) but a cushion from a 2022 might be in stock.

Worth a try. Hard to believe there are no seat cushions out there. This is where some type of dialogue with your local Honda parts desk might work in your favor - I say might because it would really depend on who you get. Nowadays we find people working that have no clue what they are doing.
