How does Softopper not leak water in the front of a 2020 Ridgeline's bed?

I really want to believe they have some technique but I haven't seen a picture yet that makes me believe that they've overcome the uni-body nature of the truck. There's not the standard gap you have on a truck between the cab and bed so how do they stop water from the top of the cab from rolling down into the bed?

1st post - w00t!

Thanks,

Never leave the garage..... sorry.

I really don’t know, I know I caulked my corners for my Retrax cover.

I've had my softopper on for about 6 weeks - 6 weeks of rain, and I've had no leakage into the truck box that causes me any concern (and I think this may be the drainage from the rear opening window sill). The front snaps-on over the square bar that is mounted on the seal. Water is diverted both sides by the channel formed. As long as the seal is good under the square bar, all should be good.

I've had 2 Softoppers, 2024 Silverado 2500HD and 1970 F250, both long beds. On a standard truck the front window panel extends a ways down the front of the bed so water runs down to the ground, not inside. I have no idea how the RL version would keep water out if it was parked. If moving, water should "fly over". I used to drive with my 1986 Prelude Si's sunroof open in the rain - as long as I was on the freeway near the speed limit, no issues, but I got real good at closing the sunroof as I slowed down after I found out what happens if you don't close it quick enough. If you have the Softopper adjusted correctly, the top will be tight and straight, no droops between the framing.
