Ok, i know i'm not the only harley rider in this forum so i thought i would try to get some help for my upcoming adventure. I'm going to the Myrtle Beach,SC Harley Ralley in May and I will be taking both my Ridgeline and my Fat Boy. (I live in El Paso, so riding the bike all that way really isn't an option for me). On the way to SC I will be picking up my cousin and his chopper and we will tow both bikes together. Here is what i would like to do: load my fat boy in the back of the ridgeline, drive to my cousin's house in Baton Rouge, unload my bike and then load both bikes into a trailer that we then take to SC. I was thinking about just renting an enclosed trailer and pulling it the whole time from El Paso to SC, but after looking at the MPG i could expect and also the cost of renting a trailer for about 2 weeks, i thought that maybe loading my bike in the truck bed (just to get to Baton Rouge and back) would save me several hundred dollars. Now here is the question: have any of you ever heard of anyone loading a large bike into the back of a Ridgeline? I know the tailgate would have to be down or the bike would have to be at an angle, but i just wondered if it is at all possible.
Thanks for everyone's help.
