Hey no problem. Just curious if deals are still to be had. Last February when I got my RTL, Roush quoted me $3k off MSRP when stock was low. Honda Marysville ended up beating that on a dealer allocation waiting to come in. If willing to travel, AutoNation has some huge discounts on 2024 RL's right now.

This is obviously from a dealer in California, where they have all but resigned themselves to stop selling ICE vehicles.

I did a search of reviews (Google, Yelp, etc) as to each Honda dealership in Columbus and Marysville and Roush came out on top by far. They are employee owned-the Roush family sold it to the employees. The three times I have been there so far they have always been very busy. I paid cash. No trade-in. Usually they make you deal with the finance guy anyway and same at Roush but he was very nice about taking "no" for an answer when he offered the extended warranty packages. My salesperson (Jan) was the best.
Glad things worked out for you at Roush. We've bought 9 new Hondas from one particular salesman since 1998 so it's simple to get a great quote (invoice less holdback plus a few hundred for the salesman) whenever in the market.

We have purchased our last 6 Hondas from Roush or Marysville. Both are very good! I have also had good experiences with Germain, but not so good with Lindsay and will not deal with Hinderer in Newark. Currently own a 2018 CRV and 2023 Ridgeline. Very happy with both. Have bought 22 new Hondas since 1985. Two drivers in family.

Very similar experience at Honda Marysville. All negotiations by email/text. No deposit required to hold the RL coming in on allocation. Told them upfront after the deal I wouldn't be interested in extras in the F&I office. Took the 1.9% financing instead of cash deal since my money market is doing double 1.9%! Finance manager met me at the front door with a tablet to sign paperwork. Two minutes signing, 20 minutes with sales going over truck. I was on my way.
Why no warrantee?

What is the location of this AutoNation? I have a 2018 RTL-E, but I'm thinking about getting a 2024 Black Edition.
Not sure which location, but I suspect in California based on fees and other items listed on the breakdown. Just go to Autonation.com and take a look. East Las Vegas is advertising around $4k off 2024 Black Editions right now.

Why no warrantee?
No I normally don't buy extended warranties or service contracts. At least not without shopping around first. You can always add them later. New Honda's already have 3 year/36k miles bumper to bumper and 5 year/60k miles powertrain warranty. I put about 20k miles on a year so even an extended warranty would run out relatively quick.
Do you normally buy an extended warranty/service contract? Do you shop around for it?

I just drove this home yesterday. Bought it from a dealership in Westerville OH and it was the best buying experience ever. I have bought many vehicles, always VW (and one Nissan) in my 64 years.
I love it. I was going to add not just the factory tonneau and black lettering but also the OEM black roof rails. But the roof rails are just too large and prominent looking imho so I went without.
Coming from a tuned 2017 VW GTI the ride is so much smoother and rough roads seem like nothing. My wife drives a 2022 VW Atlas. The ride is very similar.
The one thing I have not been able to figure out is how to play Qobuz wirelessly. Qobuz appears on Apple Car Play but when I pick out something to play I get no sound. I will get that figured out. I plunked a ton of money into an aftermarket sound system with subwoofer in my GTI. I am pleasantly surprised at how the stock sound system sounds. View attachment 448657 View attachment 448658
Now you need the black HONDA Emblem!

Good to know. Live in Southport but willing to make the drive.
I purchased from Leith Honda as well. There was a small add on list of items I decided I wanted anyway, but only because they pulled an existing truck from their other dealership. Key for me was my salesman, Travis. He drives a Ridgeline and he is knows them inside and out. I generally know my stuff but he knew more and helped me determine how to get what I wanted and resolve ‘23 or ‘24 decision.
