My Second Ridgeline - 2025 Black Edition - And a story

I purchased this Black Edition March 25. Finally getting around to posting pics now.

With only 200 miles on it, I took it out for a drive yesterday and saw it in the sun for the first time. Couldn't help but take some pics.

When I was younger, I always had a Honda (11 of them) and a truck (5 Toyotas, a Mazda and a Nissan). For a solid 15 years, I grew frustrated that Honda didn't make a truck. I knew that if they did, It would be the perfect blend of what their cars did best, and what trucks of the day were missing the most.

When the news came out that Honda FINALLY was coming out with a truck, I started the dreaming process. It wasn't long before I found the Ridgeline Owners Club, and joined In September 2005. It was at this time the first Ridgelines were landing in dealerships. I immediately went to my favorite place to spend money, and told them to find me an Amazon Green one. And I had the list of accessories I wanted. Then I waited. Over a month....Driving my one year old Tacoma. I bought my first Ridgeline in October 2005... I leased it for 3 years and returned it at the end of the lease for financial reasons. Ever since that day, I vowed to get another one.

This Journey has come full circle for me. Older, wiser and clearly crazier, I did it again.

So glad this place is still here.

I wish those wheels were in black on the BE. I like the style more than the 24/25 BE standard.
Very sharp! Red was my first choice when looking for my 2024. I eneded up with choice #2, white. No regrets, but that red is really pretty.
ENJOY!

Thank you and I believe these 20” passport wheels are available in black if you can find them. Some people call this wheel “Open 5 Spoke”.

Congrats! Those wheels look sharp! I'm liking that HPD side moulding as well. I don't recall seeing that previously.

I ended up with a '25 Red BE as well. It wasn't the color I planned to get, and it does show dirt/imperfections much more than my prior white, but it sure does look good when cleaned up!

I have a 2022 ridgeline R. Tl e with the Chrome accents and the body side. Buildings with light Gray interior with blue ambient lighting. I love it. Also I put the deactivator on for VCM to make it run as a 6 cylinder all the time. I have 60000 miles on mine and it still purrs like a kitten and uses no oil. You're black edition looks nice. Enjoy the ventilated seats. I wish they would have offered that in 2022. But you had to buy the Canadian version in order to get ventilated seats at that point. Who would a thunk. The dealership where I get my oil done has a two thousand six ridgeline with five hundred thousand miles on the same b six engine just keep the timing belts changed and the oil change and these are five hundred thousand mile vehicles Steve

I have the same color on my 23 RL.
This is my fifth Red Truck, and never got a Ticket in a red one. I won't say how many I got in other colors.
I have only seen one other RL in this area that color. I put a roll up hard cover on the bed not waterproof, but almost. Keeps things out of sight, and hard to get into. Not able to be cut to gain entry like my Daughters "vinyl cover" on her Taco. Now she has a revolver cover like mine.

Not to get off topic - which I am - but the 67-68 Mustangs are my favorite model years for that car. My cousin had a '68 fastback in Aqua that he bought with his USAF reenlistment money. I was in elementary school at the time and he showed me how to properly wash/wax/detail on that car. That's a skill I have never lost. Your post brought back some great memories.

Nice! Used to me my favorite color. Then the TS blue happened.

Slanted rails kept one of my friends from buying the 2006 when it first came out. He always had gear to tote around like kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats. The Tacoma was his choice for all that. Still has that truck with 300k plus miles on it. But he has been eyeing my RL and I am sure that will be his replacement once the Tacoma turns into a pile of rust.
