Tried for hours to get the navigation on my 23 Ridgeline RTL-E to co-operate, and work independent from online access. It looks like a Garmin mapping screen, but after the required update, it is still not working by itself.
so, after much frustration, my wife suggested I just mount my current stand alone Garmin device from the windshield and use it instead. Besides it has all my saved locations. So, it worked flawles, and was perfect.
also, read other owners input about the mapping system, big disappointment.
But, after trying to use phone based mapping, through apple car play, for a few hours, which it later decided to quit on its own, never returning! Realized I made the right choice by going stand alone.

Will have to say, I tried again to install the Honda navigation. Finally gave up and started using my phone and WAZE… have to say, am shocked at the accuracy of Waze, it has save me with enroute detours, that would have added ten minutes to my trip!
will continue to try/test Waze, but am keeping my current stand alone Garmin windshield mounted navigation., because I know I can trust it! No, it won give me up to date warnings and detour info, but it will get me to my destination.
